Hilltop News AHS/ARS Inspection Return to All Hilltop News >>> We were happy to welcome back the judges from the American Hanoverian Society/American Rhineland Studbook on July 23-24.  It was two oppressively hot days, but the judges and horses held up well! Five stallions were presented and two were granted Lifetime Approval. Congratulations to: Fie Andersen and Rocazino (Rosentanz-Silvio I-Feiner Stern) who has already fulfilled his sport requirements in dressage and to Kenneth & Selma Garber and Vallado/Praise (Now or Never-Saros xx-Important) who is the first stallion to have fulfilled his sport requirements in the hunter ring. Two new, exciting options for Hanoverian & Rhineland breeders here in the US. Thank you to all the stallion owners who presented at this licensing. Two mares were inspected for breeding: Paula Byrum’s Oldenburg mare Saint Isabelle BHF (Sir James-Renaissance) who scored an overall 7.3 and Hilltop’s Hanoverian mare Qindle HTF (Qredit-Royal Prince) who scored an overall 7. The two mares also completed the Mare Performance Test and Qindle was the High-Score for the MPT with an overall 7.16. She is now a Premium Mare Candidate. The Yearling/Two-Year Old Futurity was well attended. Champions for each division included: Two-Year Old Filly was Beretta LJS (Bugatti-Ferro), Yearling Filly Starlet (Sternlicht GGF-Festrausch), Two-Year Old Colt Rendezvous ESH (Rubignon-Weltmeyer), and Yearling Gelding Diamond Quinn (Diamond Hit-Quaterback). One the second day, two non-Hanoverian mares were presented and Lisa Saabye’s Ebella (Ehrentusch-Over The River xx) was accepted into the Main Studbook with an overall 7.0. Congratulations Val! 2014 Foals Congratulations to Linden Hall of Lititz, PA on the arrival of her new filly by Donarweiss! Born this month to her Oldenburg mare MJ Blue Eyed Babe (Beau Soleil – Fantast ), Linden says her filly is very smart and athletic. Congratulations to Victoria McCue of West Chester, PA on the birth of a lovely Donarweiss foal!  This beautiful black foal was born to her Trakehner  mare Havanna’s Orphan Annie (Amethyst – Matador) on May first.  Victoria has decided on the name Havanna Skye. Rachel Ehrlich of Green Gate Farm is proud to announce the arrival of her new Donarweiss colt! Born to her Hanoverian mare EM Rhapsody (Rascalino - Wesley), this flashy colt is black with four perfectly matched white socks and a big white blaze.  We are excited to see how he develops as he is a half sibling to Sternlicht GGF.  Rachel has decided on the name Dentente GGF. Dressage at Lexington

Hilltop News Dressage at Lexington Return to All Hilltop News >>> Michael Bragdell traveled down to Lexington, VA for the large Dressage at Lexington show.  Maryanna and Wendell Haymon’s young David Bowie MF (Don Principe-Rotspon) was the star of the weekend winning both the Young Horse TOC class and the USEF Four-Year Old Young Horse Qualifier with scores over 8.0.  It’s only his third show, but he is such a sensible, willing young horse that he takes it all in stride.  Sternlicht also traveled to Lexington and won Sunday’s Third Level Test 3 with a 71.4%.  Thanks to all the volunteers who stayed cheery and helpful during the scorching heat!
