A Qredit Colt at Hilltop
The stork has had a very busy few days here at Hilltop with the delivery of all these boys! Hilltop’s own Hanoverian mare Chiquita HTF (Contucci-Cordoba) presented us with a gorgeous Qredit colt on April 25th. This handsome guy is chestnut with three high white socks and a big blaze. Good job Chiquita!
Any who has endured the loss of a horse can understand the sorrow and despair that descends like a shroud over everyone involved. Any who has witnessed a horse struggle through serious illness can understand how emotional it is to watch horses fight for their lives and how much respect such horses earn amongst their caregivers.
It is with great sadness that Jane MacElree and Hilltop Farm share the news that on Monday, August 23rd Cabana Boy was humanely euthanized following a catastrophic injury while in turnout. Cabana Boy’s well-being, comfort, and quality of life were the focus of each discussion and decision and a team of veterinarians was consulted to discuss all possible options and outcomes.
