Hilltop News Dressage At Devon Return to All Hilltop News >>> All of us here at Team Hilltop enjoyed another successful year at Dressage at Devon 2016. With the help of King Santacruz, Quinnten and Michael presented a number of Hilltop-sired or client-owned horses to top placings over the course of the week. Despite the usual small bit of rainy weather, we were happy to catch up with clients, friends, and even welcome a few new faces into the Hilltop barns. Devon has consistently been a perfect setting for one of the final big shows of the year, and we extend our gratitude to show management and the volunteers for making all of it possible.  We congratulate all of our owners and clients on their successes at Devon! Congratulations on your beautiful new baby Jil! We are so pleased to congratulate Ann Schmidt of Tam Farm Dressage in Hinesburg, VT on the arrival of her lovely new Ampere filly! Born on July 16th to her Hanoverian mare Esmerelda, this pretty girl is spunky and curious and has a white sock just like her sire. Mary Lynn Selzer of Salisbury, MD has proudly announced the arrival of her new Ampere filly! Born on May 28th to her AWS mare Gravity Storm, Mary Lynn says her new filly is brightening up their lives and both mare and foal are doing well. Congratulations Mary Lynn! Linda Piette of Quail Hollow Farm in Oxford, MI has proudly announced the arrival of her new Ampere filly! Born to her Oldenburg mare Baguette, Linda says her new filly’s name will be Analise and she is black with two perfect hind white socks and absolutely beautiful. Congratulations Linda! It’s another girl for Suzanne Myers or Misty Meadows Farm in Clarkesville, GA! VADA/NOVA Breed Show

Hilltop News VADA/NOVA Breed Show Return to All Hilltop News >>> Quinnten Alston handled a number of horses for the VADA/NOVA Breed Show at Morven Park on June 10th.  Iris Aberbach’s Jamaica A (Ampère-Bugatti) was a superstar for her first time off farm, winning her Two-Year Old Fillies class and then going on to be named Filly Champion, Young Horse Champion, and Overall Grand Champion!  She also won the Dutch Warmblood IBC class and was High Score for the day.  This fantastic filly is out of a full-sister to Iris’s very successful FEI horse Boxster A and is definitely one to watch for the future. Chelsea and Linda Allen’s Wingman (WakeUp x Royal Beauty), also on his first trip off farm, won his Yearling Colts/Geldings Class and was then named Reserve Champion Colt.  Margaretta Frederick’s Coeur De Lion (Coeur d’Amour-Fit to Fight xx) placed 4th in a large Two-Year Old Colts/Geldings class and also placed 5th in the Oldenburg GOV IBC. A few clients joined as at the show with their young horses too. Nancy Twenhafel’s Kinettic (Netto-Donarweiss) won the Yearling Fillies and placed 2nd in the Dutch Warmblood IBC. In the Two-Year Old Colts/Geldings class, Marne Martin Tucker’s Senzation (Sezuan – Jazztime) was 2nd and Amber and Eric Fies’ Sieg (Sir Gregory-Donnerhall) placed 6th. It’s exciting to see many of our stallions earning Top-25 finishes and especially exciting to see a few earning top rankings in multiple disciplines. Ampère News Ampere Offspring Earn USDF Awards in 2015 View All Ampère News >>> We’ve seen a growing number of Ampere offspring in the USDF Dressage Sport Horse Breeding ranking each year.  With a limited number of offspring in the states, it is especially exciting to see his offspring hold such a strong presence in the USDF and All-Breeds Awards rankings.  A particular highlight in this year’s rankings is I-Candy (ds. Gribaldi), who’s median score secured her place as USDF and KWPN-NA 2-Year Old Filly Champion.  I-Candy, owned by Krista Melby and bred  by Gwen Blake, has been a standout in the USDF Awards the past two years as well, winning the Yearling Fillies in 2014 and ranking 3rd for Current Year Fillies in 2013.  Earning a 4th place finish in the 2-Year Old Fillies was Stephanie Moses’ Ambrosia (ds. Rohdiamant).  Ambrosia’s median score also ranked her second in the Oldenburg All-Breeds for the 2-Year Old Fillies. Three-Year Old fillies Au Chocolat (ds. De Niro), owned/bred by Kris Conquest, and Habana (ds. Contester), owned/bred by Cindy Smith, finished the season ranked 6th and 11th respectively; Habana was also named Reserve Champion for KWPN-NA All-Breeds in the same class. Yearling filly Joules Effect HMF (ds. Enrico Caruso), owned Elizabeth Preston and bred by High Meadows Farm, earned a 10th place on the USDF Yearling Fillies rankings and a Reserve Champion finish in the KWPN-All Breeds.  The youngest of the Ampere offspring was the 2015 colt Alchemist (ds.
