Susan Ko of Cardinal Point farms in Pound Ridge, NY is so pleased to announce the arrival of her new Chippendale colt! Arriving to Susan’s KWPN mare Zamora on April 24th, Susan says that he is such a lovely colt with a great personality and she could not be more pleased with him. Congratulations, Susan!  2015 Foals Congratulations to Julie Ballard-Haralson on the arrival of her new Chippendale filly! The bay beauty with a star and two socks was born to her Elite Dutch mare Evelina HF on May 26th and Julie says she is very friendly. Cristina Cardenas of Coral Gables, FL has announced the arrival of her new Chippendale filly! Born to her Selle Francais mare Toya Car in April, Cristina says she is really pleased with her new filly. Congratulations Cristina! Born to their Dutch mare Galliano Loma on April 14th, this pretty little girl is all bay with two little white hind socks. Scandic) as well as the young horse class winner Gigolo (ds. Rousseau).  Chippendale himself had a very successful year competing at Prix St. Georges.  The year 2015 is now off to an excellent start with the news that he has received full approval by the Hanoverian Verband. The Chippendale-Scandic son Giovanni has tied for first place in the KWPN Spring Stallion Test. Bred and owned by C. van Etten, Giovanni scored 8 for walk and trot, 9.5 for canter, 8.5 for suppleness, 9 for self-carriage and ridability and 8.5 for dressage potential. The testing committee described him as “an honest and reliable stallion with a very good disposition.”  In second place was the licensing Champion Glamourdale (Lord Leatherdale-Negro).  He earned 8 for walk, 8.5 for trot, 9 for canter, 8.5 for suppleness, 9 for self-carriage, and 8.5 for rideabiity and dressage potential.   Fantastic results for these owners, breeders, and Van Olst Horses – congratulations! Hilltop News 2014 KWPN Stallion Licensing Return to All Hilltop News >>> International Guest Stallions were all well represented going in the Second Round viewing at the 2014 KWPN Stallion Licensing. Especially exciting this year was the first presentation of Chippendale’s oldest offspring. Chippendale was represented by three sons, of which two sons will advance to the stallion performance test in March. These two offspring include Guess (Chippendale-Flemmingh), owned by Van Olst Stables, and Garava (Chippendale-Scandic), owned and bred by C. Van Etten. Ampere was represented by two sons, of which Giovanni NB (Ampere-Lord Sinclair), owned by W.H. Ruppert, will move forward to the stallion performance test. Two Lord Leatherdale sons, owned by Van Olst Horses, were presented and selected to attend the stallion performance test. The first, Genesis (Lord Leatherdale-Metall) was a crowd favorite during the third phase of the selection process but in the end it was Glamourdale (Lord Leatherdale-Negro) who was named Champion of the 2014 KWPN Stallion Licensing. The Lord Leatherdale-Negro cross has become a proven cross with three stallions, including Chippendale, Everdale, and Fairytale, already licensed with the KWPN. Hilltop News KWPN First Round of Stallion Selection Return to All Hilltop News >>> The first round of viewings took place this past week for the KWPN Stallion Selection.  Excellent results were achieved for stallions currently in Hilltop Farm’s International Frozen Semen Program.  Especially exciting was the first presentation for the oldest offspring of Chippendale – with an outstanding result of three sons being selected to proceed.  We’ll be watching for all of the below stallions in ’s-Hertogenbosch where the second round will take place.
