Danielle Chambers and the Oldenburg Farm’s bred Contucci gelding Capone (Contucci x Beguiled/Banter) did just that.  Danielle shared: “I purchase Capone, “Opie”, in February of this year and recently took him to our first recognized dressage competition at the Alamo Dressage Association’s San Antonio Fall Dressage USEF/USDF show. Opie was out of work for a year before I purchased him and had not been to a show in 11 years! I am proud to report that Opie was a rockstar and wowed the judges at the show winning both of his Training 3 classes with scores of 70% and 73.8%. He also took home high point champion at the level both days and received “8’s” on his gaits in the collective marks with comments such as “what a nice horse!” Best wishes for continued success in the show ring!
