Hilltop News Dressage at Lexington Return to All Hilltop News >>> Michael Bragdell traveled down to Lexington, VA for the large Dressage at Lexington show.  Maryanna and Wendell Haymon’s young David Bowie MF (Don Principe-Rotspon) was the star of the weekend winning both the Young Horse TOC class and the USEF Four-Year Old Young Horse Qualifier with scores over 8.0.  It’s only his third show, but he is such a sensible, willing young horse that he takes it all in stride.  Sternlicht also traveled to Lexington and won Sunday’s Third Level Test 3 with a 71.4%.  Thanks to all the volunteers who stayed cheery and helpful during the scorching heat! Stallion News Hilltop Archives Jan, 2007 Comic Hilltop FRH – 2006 Nurnberger Burgpokal Champion Carola Koppelmann and Comic Hilltop FRH won the 2006 Nurnberger Burgpokal at CDI-W Frankfurt last weekend with a winning score of 74.10% in the final round. The Nurnberg Burgpokal is the German National Championships for horses in the small tour (Prix St. George) and is only open to 7 – 9 year-old horses. Hilltop News Culpepper Dressage Show Return to All Hilltop News >>> We had a great weekend on June 18-19 at the Culpepper Dressage Show.  Lara & Mitch Mitchelson’s Faberge Blue (Contango-Democraat) continues to be rock solid at Third Level.  He earned a 70.6% in his Freestyle and won Third Level Test 3 with a 69.4%.  Marydell Farm’s David Bowie MF (Don Principe-Rotspon) won his Four-Year Old test each day with a 77.8% and a 78.8%.  The judges’ comments were glowing about this young stallion and we look forward to the next steps in his career.  Michael’s student Beth Custalow rode her own Bvlgari (Bordeaux-Rohdiamant) earned a 2nd and 1st place in her Fourth Level Test 3 classes.  Quinnten Alston was also busy handling for clients at the concurrent Breed Show.  We so appreciate Rosinburg Events and other show managers continuing to hold USDF Breed Shows for our young horses.  And speaking of appreciation, Michael’s fabulous groom Natalie Wolfer was awarded the Best Groom Award! Hilltop News ESDCTA Memorial Day Dressage Shows Return to All Hilltop News >>> Michael Bragdell had outstanding results at the ESDCTA Memorial Day Weekend shows held in Allentown, NJ.  He was undefeated on all four of his horses!  Maryanna Haymon’s David Bowie MF (Don Principe-Rotspon), the baby of the group at age four, had a very strong outing in is first undersaddle show.  He won Saturday’s Young Horse Test of Choice class with a 7.738 and was more confident in Sunday’s USEF Four-Year Old test with an overall 8.1.  Lara & Mitch Mitchelson’s Faberge Blue continued the streak winning the USEF Musical Freestyle on Saturday and Third Level Test 3 with a 71.666% on Sunday.  Sternlicht, bred by Rachel Ehrlich and owned by Hilltop Farm, won Saturday’s Third 3 with a 73.974% and earned an overall 8.08 in Sunday’s FEI Six-Year Old class.  Finally Qredit wrapped up the weekend sweep with Saturday’s Intermediaire I score of 69.2% and Sunday’s win in the Developing Prix St. Georges test with a 71.9%.  Way to go Michael! Don Principe News Don Principe Offspring Earn USDF Awards in 2015 View All Don Principe News >>> It’s great to see the Don Principe offspring competing successfully under junior, amateur, and professional riders alike.  This year’s USDF and All-Breeds Awards show Don Principe offspring competing from Training Level all the way through Prix St. Georges.  A particular highlight in this year’s results is Doctor Wendell (ds. Sandro Hit). “Doc” and Jim Koford’s wonderful rapport is evident when looking through their accomplishments this season.  In Doc’s first year at Prix St. Georges, their efforts this season earned them a median score of 68.9% and an AHS All-Breeds 3rd place standing for Prix St. Georges Open.  The 4-Year Old mare Diamond Lady MF (ds. Royal Diamond), owned by Cackie Vroom and bred by Marydell Farm, had a standout year.  Diamond Lady ranked 8th in the competitive USDF 4-Year Old standings and earned an AHS All-Breeds Reserve Championship at Training Level.   Under owner Paige Wolfe, Delaney (ds. Tantris) earned a 7th place standing in the Junior/Young Rider Training Level rankings. In the GOV Oldenburg All-Breeds Delaney, bred by Pam Noll, took the Championship for Junior/Young Rider Training Level.  Last but not least, Dhouble Scoop (ds. Lancet) and owner Ellen Kettler earned the Championship for the GOV Oldenburg Adult Amateur Training Level standings.  Dhouble Scoop was bred by Rolling Stone Farm.  Congratulations to all and best wishes for an excellent 2016 show season!
