Daydream arrived to Michelle’s CWBHA mare Twice Gold on May 13th and Michelle says she is absolutely stunning and will be calling her Dreamy for short. Congratulations! Val Zeek of Molalla, OR has proudly announced the arrival of Delphinea, a beautiful filly by Donarweiss! Born to her Oldenburg mare Ivy, Val says this may just be her best new arrival yet. Congratulations Val! 2014 Foals Congratulations to Linden Hall of Lititz, PA on the arrival of her new filly by Donarweiss! Born this month to her Oldenburg mare MJ Blue Eyed Babe (Beau Soleil – Fantast ), Linden says her filly is very smart and athletic. Congratulations to Victoria McCue of West Chester, PA on the birth of a lovely Donarweiss foal!  This beautiful black foal was born to her Trakehner  mare Havanna’s Orphan Annie (Amethyst – Matador) on May first.  Victoria has decided on the name Havanna Skye. Rachel Ehrlich of Green Gate Farm is proud to announce the arrival of her new Donarweiss colt! Born to her Hanoverian mare EM Rhapsody (Rascalino - Wesley), this flashy colt is black with four perfectly matched white socks and a big white blaze.  We are excited to see how he develops as he is a half sibling to Sternlicht GGF.  Rachel has decided on the name Dentente GGF. VADA/NOVA Breed Show

Hilltop News VADA/NOVA Breed Show Return to All Hilltop News >>> Quinnten Alston handled a number of horses for the VADA/NOVA Breed Show at Morven Park on June 10th.  Iris Aberbach’s Jamaica A (Ampère-Bugatti) was a superstar for her first time off farm, winning her Two-Year Old Fillies class and then going on to be named Filly Champion, Young Horse Champion, and Overall Grand Champion!  She also won the Dutch Warmblood IBC class and was High Score for the day.  This fantastic filly is out of a full-sister to Iris’s very successful FEI horse Boxster A and is definitely one to watch for the future. Chelsea and Linda Allen’s Wingman (WakeUp x Royal Beauty), also on his first trip off farm, won his Yearling Colts/Geldings Class and was then named Reserve Champion Colt.  Margaretta Frederick’s Coeur De Lion (Coeur d’Amour-Fit to Fight xx) placed 4th in a large Two-Year Old Colts/Geldings class and also placed 5th in the Oldenburg GOV IBC. A few clients joined as at the show with their young horses too. Nancy Twenhafel’s Kinettic (Netto-Donarweiss) won the Yearling Fillies and placed 2nd in the Dutch Warmblood IBC. In the Two-Year Old Colts/Geldings class, Marne Martin Tucker’s Senzation (Sezuan – Jazztime) was 2nd and Amber and Eric Fies’ Sieg (Sir Gregory-Donnerhall) placed 6th. It’s exciting to see many of our stallions earning Top-25 finishes and especially exciting to see a few earning top rankings in multiple disciplines. Donarweiss News Donatella CF (Donarweiss – Tantris) View All Donarweiss News >>> We received exciting news on Donarweiss mare Donatella CF (Donarweiss x Tiadora/Tantris).  Six-year old Donatella competed in her first Prix St. Georges test at Dunmovin’ Farm, under owner/breeder Kim Callaway.  In a large class, the pair earned a 2nd place finish.  We’ve enjoyed following Donatella’s success at breed shows as a young horse and it’s especially fun seeing that success continue under saddle. Donarweiss News Dax (Donarweiss – Ideal) View All Donarweiss News >>> Val Zeek’s handsome Donarweiss colt Dax (Donarweiss x Ivy/Ideal) was named Champion Colt at the Echo Glen Farm’s ISR/Oldenburg inspection.  Dax impressed the judges earning an overall score of 8.1, with the highlight being a score of 8.2 for movement.  The cross of Donarweiss and Ivy has been very successful, with Dragon Fly named Highest Score Foal in the country in 2009 and 2011 filly, Dahlia, named a Premium Mare and 2nd place High Score Mare on the West Coast with ISR/Oldenburg.  We’re excited to see another Donarweiss-Ivy offspring earning such high praise at his inspection.  Congratulations Val! Dressage at Devon Breed Show

Hilltop News Dressage at Devon Breed Show Return to All Hilltop News >>> Devon is one of our favorite shows and we always look forward to catching up with other breeders, owners, and friends at this historic show.  A large group of horses joined us from Hilltop’s Raising Department and Devon Prep Program making this year’s Devon especially busy for Team Hilltop.  Assisting Hilltop Handlers Quinnten Alston and Michael Bragdell was King Santacruz.  We were thrilled to welcome King back to Hilltop for the third consecutive year and can’t thank him enough for his extra assistance over the week.  His superb handling skills compliment Quinnten and Michael’s style so well. Tuesday’s warm sunny weather made for an excellent start to the show on Young Horse Day. Virginia Leary’s Don Hill gelding Don de Lion (Don Hill-Hawthorne) and Quinnten Alston kicked off the start of the show for Team Hilltop in the Yearling Colts and Geldings class with a 7th place finish. Don de Lion is from Don Hill’s first US foal crop; we’re enjoying seeing the early Don Hill foal crops out showing.  Following suit in the Dixon Oval in the 2-Year Old Colts and Gelding’s class Michael Bragdell handled Marydell Farm’s colt David Bowie MF (Don Principe-Rotspon) to a 3rd place finish.  Cha Ching HTF (Contucci-Cordoba) ended his Devon in-hand career with a 4th in the 3-Year Old Colts and Geldings and a win in the USDF/GAIG Colts and Gelding Final later in the day under Michael’s guidance. Also in the 3-Year Old Colts/Geldings, Quinnten handled Rolling Stone Farm’s Shopper (Shakespeare-Widmark) to a 2nd place finish. Shopper went...
