Hilltop News 2017 AHS/ARS Inspection Return to All Hilltop News >>> We had a fantastic inspection this past week with an overwhelming super quality in the foals. The event started however with two stallions being accepted for AHS/ARS. The 4-year old Debonair MF (Doctor Wendell MF-Sandro Hit) owned/bred by Marydell Farm and the 15-year old Lord Luciano (Enrico Caruso-Unkenruf) owned/bred by Debra Tyler both impressed the stallion committee and are exciting additions for US breeders!  Comments for Debonair MF included ‘very good impression with stallion presence, we like his rideability, the walk is a highlight as is the canter – very impressive and already showing a talent to collect.’  Comments for Lord Luciano included ‘we like to use Trakehner in our breeding, this stallion had a very successful sport career to Grand Prix in Germany, his gaits and attitude are very good, gave a very good impression as he started to move.’ Eight Hanoverian mares were accepted into the Main Studbook for AHS & ARS with Viva’s Diamond W (Viva Voltaire-Futurist) being the High-Score Hanoverian Mare & the Mare Performance Test Champion. Viva’s Diamond W is owned by Anne Cumpstone and was bred by Augustin & Christine Walch. Additional approved mares include: Bijou DJS (Bugatti-Davignport) owned/bred by Deanna Mann Wilkinson, Ramora CF (Royal Prince-Davignon) owned/bred by Kimberly Kobryn-Callaway, Bugatti’s Ballerina (Bugatti-Rohdiamant) owned/bred by Beth Custalow, Salome B (San Amour-Rotspon) owned by Sarah Daehnert & Hannah Salazar and bred by Dieter Buhrig, Noor (Negro-Festrausch) owned by Rebecca Langworst Barlow and bred by Kathy Jackson, Quinzy HTF (Qredit-Cordoba) owned/bred by Hilltop Farm, and Beretta LJS (Bugatti-Ferro) owned by Jodi Boyko and...

Arriving to his Hanoverian mare Calais on May 18th, Chad says everything went perfectly and his new colt is healthy and strong. Sue Myers of Misty Meadows Farm in Clarkesville, GA is proud to announce the arrival of a lovely Lord Leatherdale filly! Born on April 12th to her KWPN mare Virona O, Sue says that she is healthy and very active. Her name will be Lori, after one of Sue’s employees who shares a birthday with this new arrival. Congratulations Sue! 2015 Foals Andrea Hayden of Williston, FL has welcomed a new Lord Leatherdale baby! A leggy bay colt was born to her Hanoverian mare Devinia on March 3rd. Lord Leatherdale News Dilona (Lord Leatherdale-Kennedy) Lord Leatherdale News >>> The relationship between Anna Marek and AJ Stapleton’s Lord Leatherdale mare Dilona has been one that we’ve enjoyed watching from the start.  Dilona and Anna have earned excellent results a Young Horse Nationals and in the USDF Year End Awards the past few seasons.  In 2014, Dilona finished the year ranked 5th in the USDF FEI 6-Year Old standings.  Congratulations to both AJ, Anna, and Dilona! KWPN Spring Stallion Performance Test

The Chippendale-Scandic son Giovanni has tied for first place in the KWPN Spring Stallion Test. Bred and owned by C. van Etten, Giovanni scored 8 for walk and trot, 9.5 for canter, 8.5 for suppleness, 9 for self-carriage and ridability and 8.5 for dressage potential. The testing committee described him as “an honest and reliable stallion with a very good disposition.”  In second place was the licensing Champion Glamourdale (Lord Leatherdale-Negro).  He earned 8 for walk, 8.5 for trot, 9 for canter, 8.5 for suppleness, 9 for self-carriage, and 8.5 for rideabiity and dressage potential.   Fantastic results for these owners, breeders, and Van Olst Horses – congratulations! Click to View Article Oct, 1999 Cabaret 1980-1999 Ten weeks following a surgery that was intended to prolong and sustain the quality of life for the 19-year old Holsteiner stallion, Hilltop Farm lost their founding sire Cabaret on October 28, 1999. An arthrocentesis was performed on the right front fetlock of the stallion in order to" fuse" the fetlock and create relief for a failing suspensory apparatus. Hilltop News 2014 KWPN Stallion Licensing Return to All Hilltop News >>> International Guest Stallions were all well represented going in the Second Round viewing at the 2014 KWPN Stallion Licensing. Especially exciting this year was the first presentation of Chippendale’s oldest offspring. Chippendale was represented by three sons, of which two sons will advance to the stallion performance test in March. These two offspring include Guess (Chippendale-Flemmingh), owned by Van Olst Stables, and Garava (Chippendale-Scandic), owned and bred by C. Van Etten. Ampere was represented by two sons, of which Giovanni NB (Ampere-Lord Sinclair), owned by W.H. Ruppert, will move forward to the stallion performance test. Two Lord Leatherdale sons, owned by Van Olst Horses, were presented and selected to attend the stallion performance test. The first, Genesis (Lord Leatherdale-Metall) was a crowd favorite during the third phase of the selection process but in the end it was Glamourdale (Lord Leatherdale-Negro) who was named Champion of the 2014 KWPN Stallion Licensing. The Lord Leatherdale-Negro cross has become a proven cross with three stallions, including Chippendale, Everdale, and Fairytale, already licensed with the KWPN. Stallion News History in the Making Feb, 2011 Tiamo Trocadero (1987-2011) It is with great sadness that we share the passing of the Hanoverian stallion Tiamo Trocadero (Trapper-Darling). Tiamo Trocadero lived at Hilltop Farm from 2006 to 2008 and stood in our Guest Stallion Program for two seasons. Tiamo had an outstanding International dressage record which included being named an Alternate for the 2000 Olympic Games for the British Dressage Team.
