Hilltop News 2016 WBFSH Sire Rankings Return to All Hilltop News >>> The 2016 World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses annually produces rankings for Top Sires in Show Jumping, Dressage, and Eventing. We are thrilled to share the results of some of the special stallions in our current line-up. Dressage Negro is now ranked 8th in the world thanks to offspring such as Valegro, Kastel’s Nintendo, and Alfranco (Negro’s sire, Ferro, is also ranked 12th) Olivi, our newest Guest Stallion, is ranked 60th on the list and is one of only 4 US-based stallions to appear in the Top 100 rankings  (Olivi’s sire, Jazz, is also ranked 5th) Show Jumping Quite Easy is standing 96th on the show jumping ranking list. (Quite Easy’s sire, Quidam de Revel, is also ranked 11th) Eventing Jaguar Mail now stands 4th in the world as an Eventing sire thanks to his offspring such as Pin Up De Mai, FischerTakinou, and Tresor Mail. (Jaguar’s sire, Hand In Glove xx, is also ranked 35th) Appearing on his 2nd ranking list is Quite Easy who ranks 12th thanks to offspring such as Box Cutie, Quattrino, and Easy Come Easy Go. It’s exciting to see many of our stallions earning Top-25 finishes and especially exciting to see a few earning top rankings in multiple disciplines. Negro News Kastel’s Nintendo (Negro-Monaco) Tops USDF Rankings View All Negro News >>> A true highlight in the USDF Awards earned by all the Hilltop-sired offspring is Nintendo and Charlotte Jorst’s top ranking in the 2015 Adult Amateur Grand Prix standings.   Their median score also earned them a 12th place ranking in the Grand Prix Open standings.  In the Grand Prix Musical Freestyle Challenge, Charlotte and Nintendo finished the season with a median score over 70% and an 8th place ranking.  Good boy Nintendo! American Hanoverian Society Inspection

Hilltop News American Hanoverian Society Inspection Return to All Hilltop News >>> Hilltop Farm was proud to host the American Hanoverian Society Inspection on July 19-20.  Judges were Meg Williams, Jürgen Rump, and George Walker.  Sunday was a bit shorter day than usual as there were no Mare Performance Test Participants this year.  The highlight of the day however was the East Coast Stallion Licensing.  Two stallions were presented, and one was granted approval.  Hancock, a charming black Trakehner stallion by Imperio, was bred by Kristine Gehrmann-Arp and is now owned by Marilyn Black.  Already approved by a number of registries in Europe, Hancock will be an exciting new option for North American breeders.  The Yearling & Two-Year Old Futurity was also held on Sunday and saw growing participation with a wide variety of bloodlines represented.  Champion Yearling Filly was Noor (Negro-Festrausch), bred by Kathleen Jackson & owned by Rebecca Langworst-Barlow who earned a highlight score of 8.5 on her walk.  Reserve Champion in the Yearling Fillies was Quartet GSH (Qredit-Arrian), bred/owned by Michelle Reilly.  In the Two-Year Old Fillies it was Laurie Cameron’s Maybe Magic C (Mighty Magic-Ramiro’s Bube) who was named Champion Filly, with Reserve Champion going to Hilltop Farm’s Qindle HTF (Qredit-Royal Prince).  In the Yearling Colts/Geldings, Rendezvous ESH (Rubignon-Weltmeyer) owned by Lee Ann Greene & Danee Rudy and bred by Regina Esterman was Champion with an overall score of 78 points.  Sieg (Sir Gregory-Donnerhall) was Reserve Champion and is owned by Amber Fies and was bred by Kendra Hansis.  Finally in the Two-Year Old Colts/Geldings class, we saw Bugatti Royale (Bugatti-Del Piero) earn the Champion...
