VADA/NOVA Autumn Show

Hilltop News VADA/NOVA Autumn Show Return to All Hilltop News >>> The VADA/NOVA Autumn Show over at Morven Park enjoyed perfect early fall weather, with sunny skies and pleasant temps. Jess Fay took out Hilltop’s 3-year old mare Qindle HTF (Qredit-Royal Prince) for her 2nd show and came home with a 2nd and a 1st in the Mare Materiale classes and scores in the 70’s. Keeping these early undersaddle outings fun and low stress is so important for the young ones and we’re lucky to have Jess in charge of them. Michael Bragdell also took a few horses over to Morven. In his first show outing, Anne Howard’s Finery (Furstenball-Diamond Hit) impressed earning a 76% & 78% at Training Level. What a great start to his show career! Michael also used this outing as a warm-up for some of his Regional Championship horses. Kaja Brix’s Feuerbach won both of his Prix St. Georges classes with scores of 68% & 69%. Mitch & Lara Mitchelson’s Faberge Blue placed 3rd in Third Level Test 3 with a 65% and then made the move up to Fourth Level a winning one with a score of 67%. Lamplight Dressage

Hilltop News Lamplight Dressage Return to All Hilltop News >>> Michael’s show schedule was a little complicated with the Young Horse Championships in August, so the simplest solution meant that Qredit went along for the trailer ride and competed at the Lamplight Dressage Shows that were held concurrently. In his first Intermediaire I test, they had a fluid, clean test that easily earned a 71%. Their second ride had a few uncharacteristic bobbles but all minor and easy to clean-up in the next round. The judge still awarded Qredit a 65% in that test – good for 2nd place. The show was a good warm-up for Qredit’s next outing – the USDF Region 8 Championships in September.
