USEF Sire Rankings: The United States Equestrian Federation compiles annual Sire Rankings based on competition results of recorded offspring. With the results finalized the end of December, we’re excited to share the achievements for the current, and a few former, stallions at Hilltop Farm. >>>

Dressage At Devon: All of us here at Team Hilltop enjoyed another successful year at Dressage at Devon 2016. With the help of King Santacruz, Quinnten and Michael presented a number of Hilltop-sired or client-owned horses to top placings over the course of the week. Despite the usual small bit of rainy weather, we were happy to catch up with clients, friends, and even welcome a few new faces into the Hilltop barns. >>>

Dressage at Lexington: Michael Bragdell traveled down to Lexington, VA for the large Dressage at Lexington show. Maryanna and Wendell Haymon’s young David Bowie MF (Don Principe-Rotspon) was the star of the weekend winning both the Young Horse TOC class and the USEF Four-Year Old Young Horse Qualifier with scores over 8.0. >>>

Culpepper Dressage Show: We had a great weekend on June 18-19 at the Culpepper Dressage Show. Lara & Mitch Mitchelson’s Faberge Blue (Contango-Democraat) continues to be rock solid at Third Level. He earned a 70.6% in his Freestyle and won Third Level Test 3 with a 69.4%. >>>

ESDCTA Memorial Day Dressage Shows: Michael Bragdell had outstanding results at the ESDCTA Memorial Day Weekend shows held in Allentown, NJ. He was undefeated on all four of his horses! >>>

Don Principe Offspring Earn USDF Awards in 2015: It’s great to see the Don Principe offspring competing successfully under junior, amateur, and professional riders alike. This year’s USDF and All-Breeds Awards show Don Principe offspring competing from Training Level all the way through Prix St. Georges. >>>

Dressage at Devon 2015: Throughout the years, Dressage at Devon has held the distinction of being one of Team Hilltop’s favorite shows each season, and 2015 has proven no different. It is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with our amazing clientele, new and old friends alike, and serves as a true showcase of the amazing horses the US industry is currently producing. >>>

American Hanoverian Society Inspection: Hilltop Farm was proud to host the American Hanoverian Society Inspection on July 19-20. Judges were Meg Williams, Jürgen Rump, and George Walker. >>>

Davido (Don Principe-Weltmeyer): We’re excited to see so many of the stallion’s offspring entered in the AHS Futurities. Tamara Henderson’s homebred Davido or “Vido,” by Don Principe and out of the Weltmeyer mare EM Wienne, participated in the futurity held by the Michigan Hanoverian Society on July 8th. >>>

USEF Leading Sire Rankings: Each year we look forward to the release of the finalized USEF Leading Sire Rankings. It is an excellent resource for US stallion owners, breeders, riders, and trainers alike. >>>

Drummer Boy (Don Principe-Winterprinz): Don Principe gelding Drummer Boy was bred prior to Don Principe standing here at Hilltop, so it was especially exciting for owner Madeline Bletzacker to share an update. >>>

2014 AHS Futurity Results: The 2014 AHS National Futurity results are posted and we’re very excited to see multiple Hilltop Farm offspring in the Top-Ten of both divisions. Yearling filly Releve HTF (Royal Prince-Cordoba), bred and owned by Hilltop Farm, took top honors in the Yearling Futurity with a score of 78.5. >>>

Don Principe Offspring Earn USDF Awards: We’re pleased to see so many Don Principe offspring were out showing during the 2014 show season and earning such great results. Don Principe offspring of all ages earned top rankings in the USDF Year-End Awards and All-Breeds Awards. >>>

Hilltop-Sired Offspring at USDF Nationals: Congratulations to all the owners, riders, and breeders whose horses qualified for the USDF National Finals. In its second year at the Kentucky Horse Park the show has a true Championship feel to it and draws competitors from across the entire country. >>>

Don Principe Offspring At USDF Regional Championships: Congratulations to all the owners and breeders of the many Don Principe offspring competing at the USDF Region 1 and Region 2 Championships! Don Principe was represented by five different offspring, with three competing at the Region 1 Championships and two at the Region 2 Championships. >>>

USDF National Finals: Team Hilltop headed to the US Dressage Finals at the Kentucky Horse Park for the first week in November. We were very excited for Michael to be able to compete for the first time as a US Citizen at a US Championship and to have qualified three horses for the finals. >>>

De Luetje MF (Don Principe-Londonderry): Congratulations to owner Elly Schobel and breeder Maryanna Haymon on De Luetje’s success at her Mare Performance Test. De Luetje won her Mare Performance Test and earned the status of Elite Mare Candidate. Good girl! >>>

USDF Year-End Awards for Hilltop Trainers & Horses: As the 2014 show season draws to a close, the USDF Year End Awards have been finalized. Both Michael Bragdell and Quinnten Alston have had a fantastic year with Hilltop and client owned horses alike. >>>

Don Principe Offspring at Border Line Dressage: The Don Principe offspring took home many top ribbons at the Border Line Dressage. The oldest of the group, Delovely (Don Principe-Johns Line xx), won the 4 & 5 Year Old Materiale with a 76.5%. >>>

Don Principe Well Represented at Dressage At Devon: It was another spectacular year at Dressage at Devon for the Don Principe offspring. A total of nine offspring represented Don Principe at the show, all earning top ribbons. >>>

USDF Region 1 Championships: What a wonderful weekend at Regionals! On the first day of the USDF Region 1 Championships Michael won the Third Level Finals with Kaja Brix's Feuerbach and the Intermediate B with Don Principe owned by Marydell Farm. >>>

Dansuse MF Captures Devon Grand Championship: The Don Principe-Rotspon filly Dansuse MF, bred and owned by Marydell Farm, was the star of this year’s Dressage at Devon. She began with a commanding win in the Two-Year Old Fillies class. >>>

Don Principe Dances at the Devon CDI: While Dressage at Devon is always a special show for Team Hilltop, this year the CDI division held particular significance for us. Michael Bragdell, Hilltop’s Trainer, competed in his first CDI Grand Prix and Freestyle. >>>

Dressage at Devon Breed Show: Devon is one of our favorite shows and we always look forward to catching up with other breeders, owners, and friends at this historic show. A large group of horses joined us from Hilltop’s Raising Department and Devon Prep Program making this year’s Devon especially busy for Team Hilltop. >>>

Don Principe Shines at Dressage at Lamplight: Don Principe traveled along with Sternlicht for the long trip out to Chicago. Two open shows were being held the same weekend as the Young Horse Championships and we took advantage of that scheduling to finish off Don Principe’s qualifiers for the USDF Regional Championships. >>>

USEF/Markel Young Horse Championships: The horses arrived in great shape out in Chicago, with Sternlicht coming all the way from Hilltop and Jim Koford and Doctor Wendell MF (Don Principe-Sandro Hit) joining us from Kentucky. >>>

ISR/Oldenburg NA Inspection at Hilltop: Hilltop Farm hosted its annual ISR/Oldenburg inspection on August 16th. The judging panel of Ekkehard Brysch, Dieter Felgendreher, and Gary Lawrence had a packed day of horses to evaluate. >>>

Blue Goose August Dressage: The Blue Goose Dressage III show on August 6th was especially important to us here at Hilltop as it was Michael Bragdell’s Grand Prix debut on Marydell Farm’s Don Principe. >>>

AHS Inspection at Hilltop Farm: July 20-21st Hilltop Farm was pleased to host the American Hanoverian Society Inspection & Futurity. Dr. Ludwig Christmann, Volker Ehlers, and Suzanne Quarles made an excellent judging panel and their evaluations of each horse proved extremely valuable to the audience and owners. >>>

Dressage at Lexington Breed Show: The Lexington Breed Show was a fun outing for Team Hilltop. Our handler, Quinnten Alston, took two youngsters from the farm down for the show. Both Relevè HTF (Royal Prince-Cordoba) and Quinzy HTF (Qredit-Cordoba) placed 2nd in their respective age divisions. Quinzy was 3rd in the Filly Championship and Relevè was 5th in the AHS IBC. >>>

The Foals Continue to Arrive: It's a Foal Fest at Hilltop! We may have started a little slow, but the mares are making up for it now. On the night of April 10th, Gina Leslie's lovely Elite Mare Lexus (Liberty Gold-Armin) had her first foal, a handsome black colt by Doctor Wendell MF. Not to be outdone, Iris Aberbach's Berlinetta (Bugatti-Weltbekannt) had a beautiful filly by Ampere early morning of the 11th. >>>

Don Principe is USEF Sire of the Year: Hilltop Farm is proud to share the news that Don Principe (Donnerhall-Prince Thatch xx-Durkheim), owned by Marydell Farms and bred by Adelheid Bruening, has been named the USEF Dressage Breeding Sire of the Year for 2013. The USEF Leading Sire system has become a valuable way for stallion owners, breeders, and trainers to evaluate the success of a stallion's offspring in many different venues from competitions throughout the United States. >>>
