Don Principe Offspring Earn USDF Awards

We’re pleased to see so many Don Principe offspring were out showing during the 2014 show season and earning such great results.  Don Principe offspring of all ages earned top rankings in the USDF Year-End Awards and All-Breeds Awards.  A particular highlight was the 3-year old filly Dinah Shore MF (Don Principe-Rotspon) who finished the season  as USDF 3-Year Old Filly Horse of the Year with a median score of 80.9%.  In the Yearling Colts and Geldings, Greengate Farm’s Daveney GGF (Don Principe-Weltruhm) earned a 5th place ranking.  In the FEI 6-Year Old rankings we saw two offspring earn top rankings: Duet MF (Don Principe-Rotspon) and Doctor Wendell MF (Don Principe-Sandro Hit). Doctor Wendell earned the highest honors with a 7th place finish; though Duet finished in 15th place with a score just .5 points behind Doctor Wendell.  Duet also finished 12th for USDF Second Level Horse of the Year and ranked 3rd for AHS All-Breeds Awards for Second Level Open. The excellent character Don Principe passes on to his offspring make them great fits for junior and amateur riders, which Dynamic MF and Dhouble Scoop certainly showcased.  Dynamic MF (Don Principe-Rubinstein) earned a 6th place ranking for USDF Third Level Adult Amateur for owner Leslie Lytton.  Dhouble Scoop (Don Principe-Lancet), bred by Rolling Stone Farm and owned by Ellen Kettler, earned a 16th place ranking in the Junior/Young Rider First Level rankings with rider Scout Ford.

In the All-Breeds Awards, De Bussey MF (Don Principe-Welstern) ranked 5th in the AHS awards for First Level Musical Freestyle.  De Bussey is owned and ridden by Katharina Nowotny-Boles and was bred by Marydell Farm.  Last but not least, Delovely (Don Principe-Johns Line xx) earned a Reserve Champion finish for RPSI Open First Level.  Delovely is owned and bred by Janet Stone and ridden by Lisa Brown.  Congratulations to all the Don Principe owners and breeders, we hope the 2015 season brings equally as great success!
