Dressage at Dunmovin’
On September 9th Michael took two horses up to Dunmovin’ Farm in West Chester, PA for a quick warm-up outing. Sternlicht produced a forward, accurate First Level Test 3 that easily scored a 71% and was a good kick-off for his fall shows. Jane had just arrived back home the day before, but was able to come watch Sternlicht’s ride. Kaja Brix’s Feuerbach is prepping for Dressage at Devon and with Michael won his Fourth Level Test 3 with a 70%. Only one day to rest up at Hilltop now before we head over to Morven Park for the weekend.
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of the Hanoverian stallion Tiamo Trocadero (Trapper-Darling). Tiamo Trocadero lived at Hilltop Farm from 2006 to 2008 and stood in our Guest Stallion Program for two seasons. Tiamo had an outstanding International dressage record which included being named an Alternate for the 2000 Olympic Games for the British Dressage Team.
Hilltop Farm's Christopher Hickey and Cabana Boy (Contucci-Bordeaux) attended the 2010 Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF Dressage Festival of Champions on August 6-8 at the historic USET headquarters in Gladstone, NJ. At only 8 years old, this was already Cabana Boy's 2nd trip to the Championships. It was especially rewarding to have Hilltop's owner Jane MacElree and her daughters Ann and Leslie on hand to enjoy the show.
