Employment Opportunities

Hilltop Farm is growing, and our growth is your opportunity!  We are looking for experienced, committed individuals to fill the following new positions:

Administrative Assistant:  An office position assisting the general manager with breeding contracts, preparation of marketing materials, horse arrival and departure arrangements, logistics, planning and oversight of general farm operations.  Experience with office operations and client contact as well as knowledge about warmblood breeding and bloodlines is highly desired.  Knowledge of MS Office software and experience with the sport horse industry is necessary.  Some competence with basic photography and videography would add to the dimensions of this position.  An opportunity to experience horse farm management at one of the most multi-faceted equine facilities in the country.

Stable Floor Supervisor: The stable floor supervisor will be responsible for daily operation of the barn floor in the main training stable, including oversight of and participation in stall cleaning, turnout and blanketing, feeding, grooming and care of the breeding stallions, general cleanliness and order of the stable, including cleaning and organization of non-riding equipment (halters, shipping boots, turnout boots, etc.).  Supervisory responsibility for at least two other staff members and regular interaction with grooms, trainers and the horse health coordinator.  This is a physically active position requiring both horse handling skills and the maturity and organization to supervise others in often very busy circumstances.  Experience with stallions and young horses is a plus.

Dressage Horse Groom:  Duties include care responsibilities for approximately eight dressage horses and/or prospects including grooming, tack-up, cool out, magnetic blanket and ice therapies, competition preparation, and care of riding horse equipment.  Experience with young horses and/or stallions is helpful.  The ideal candidate can turn out a horse to competition standards and be competent at both bandaging and lunging.  May be some opportunity to hack horses out, but this is primarily not a riding position.

All three positions provide friendly working conditions with an experienced, positive, world class team.  Compensation includes salary, health insurance, and on farm housing (available but not required).  Employee discount on horse board and lessons available.  Interested?  Please identify the position for which you’re applying and send resume (list of work experience, horse experience and contact information for at least two references) to Beth@hilltopfarminc.com
