2017 Foal Announcements


Foaling season here at Hilltop Farm has officially begun! Our first foal was delivered in the middle of a late winter snowstorm to Chellana GZ, a Zangersheide mare owned by Judith Irwin.  Our Raising Department says that this dapper colt is cheerful and happy, full of pep and personality! Congratulations Judith!

John Lowe of Eden, UT has had his hands full this month with the arrival of two Royal Prince fillies! Delilah was born on March 1st and Juniper arrived almost two weeks later on March 12th. Both of these delightful girls were embryo transfer foals from John’s KWPN mare Wild Lady SMH. Congratulations on your new additions John!

Congratulations to Dr. Kathleen Broughan of Wadmalaw, SC on the arrival of a new Negro colt! Born to Kathleen’s Danish mare Riche Nouveau on March 8th, this new arrival could not be more welcome and Kathleen says she is very pleased with this combination. He has lots of personality and movement, chestnut with lots of white!

Our congratulations go out to Lynn and Natalie Masin of Hockley, TX on the arrival of their new Pikko del Cerro colt! Born on March 9th to their ISR/Old mare Ikaika, Natalie says that he is such a happy boy and so very sweet.

It’s a girl for Betsy Ball of Starkville, MS! A lovely Riverman filly made her grand entrance into the world on March 8th to Betsy’s TB Mare Mission Of The Night. Betsy says that her new filly stood within ten minutes of being born and has hardly been still since. Congratulations Betsy!

Cali Bowman of Camden, SC has announced the arrival of her new Vallado colt! Born in the wee hours of the morning on March 8th to her Hanoverian mare Celeste, Cali says her new foal is doing well. Congratulations on your handsome new arrival, Cali!

Sandie Dennis and Karen Fulcher of Madison, NC are so thrilled to announce the safe arrival of their new Don Hill filly! Born to their Hanoverian mare Royalander on March 6th, this beauty will be named Dritte RLF. Sandie says that Dritte is German for “third” and that is fitting because she is their third Don Hill /Roylander foal.  Her barn name will be Abilieen for their favorite character in the movie “The Help”.  Congratulations on this lovely new addition to your barn Karen and Sandie!

Congratulations to Mary King Messinger of Kingston Farm in Hillsborough, NC on the arrival of one extremely cute and sweet Sternlicht filly! Born to her Hanoverian mare EM Favre on March 4th, Mary is still deciding on the perfect name for this little lady.

Congratulations to Robin Compagno of Las Vegas, NV on the birth of a lovely bay Rubinero filly! Born on March 1st to her Oldenburg mare Red Hawk Felicity, this adorable bundle of joy will be named Mirielle BWF. Robin is so happy to have both mom and baby healthy and thriving so now she can catch up on some well-deserved sleep!

It’s a gorgeous Rubinero filly for Krsiten DiFranco of Alachua, FL! Born to her Oldenburg mare Isabella on Feb. 28th, Kristen says that both mom and baby are doing great and they are hoping to register her as Rhapsody DLF. Congratulations Kristen, she is truly enchanting.

It’s a boy for Aniah Sweeney of Tulare, CA! A handsome, healthy colt arrived to Aniah’s KWPN mare Bailamos AF “Belle”, on January 31st. Aniah says he is just beautiful and that both mom and baby are doing well. What a looker! Congratulations Aniah!

Congratulations to Cortney Souki of Apen Valley Ranch Sporthorses in Basalt, CO on the arrival of a gorgeous Ampere filly! Born to her Oldenburg mare Feerique on February 26th, Cortney was so excited to meet her new filly and looks forward to the birth of another Ampere foal this spring out of her Oldenburg mare Delicat.

The first stork has arrived! A gorgeous Pikko del Cerro filly made her grand entrance on January 25th, the very first Pikko del Cerro baby to be born this foaling season. She arrived to Jacqueline Shear’s AWS mare Sizzlynn.  A second foal from Cerro and Sizzlynn is due later this spring.  Congratulations Jacqueline!
