Bella Luna (Popeye-Viva Deputy xx): Popeye filly, Bella Luna (Popeye x Pet’s Vida/Viva Deputy xx) impressed the inspection officials at the Colorado ISR/Oldenburg Inspection. Bella Luna was named a Premium Filly and High Point Filly of the inspection. >>>

Capone (Contucci-Banter): It’s always great to see a new partnership start off their show career so successfully! Danielle Chambers and the Oldenburg Farm’s bred Contucci gelding Capone (Contucci x Beguiled/Banter) did just that. >>>

Diplomat OBX and Dare To Dream OBX: Congratulations to breeder Don and Dee Kapper of Outer Banks Farm on the success of their Hilltop Sired offspring at the Spruce Glen Farm Hanoverian Inspection! >>>

Dunmovin Dressage: Well the rain may have gotten us totally soaked, but it was still a great show at Dunmovin. Jess Fay took two horses out for their first dressage shows with super results. >>>

VADA/NOVA Fall Dressage Show: It was a beautiful weekend in Virginia for the VADA/NOVA Fall Show. Michael took Kaja Brix’s Feuerbach out for a warm-up before Regionals. They won both their Intermediate I tests with a 66.9% and a 69.7%. >>>

2017 USEF Young/Developing Horse Championships: The USEF Young and Developing Horse Championships remain a highlight of our show plans every year. With only the top 15 of each age group invited to the Finals, the competition is intense yet the sense of comradery and enthusiasm is one of the best of all the shows. >>>

2017 ISR/OldenburgNA Inspection: Our ISR/Oldenburg Inspection is at a close. Two fun-filled days catching up with so many friends and breeders we get to see every year. One stallion was licensed - Marydell Farm's Debonair MF (Doctor Wendell MF-Rotspon). >>>

Blue Goose Dressage: was perfect horse show weather at Blue Goose Dressage III on Wednesday. Both Jess and Michael took a few horses for final qualifiers for Regionals. >>>

Michael Qualifies Six for USEF Young/Developing Championships: Michael Bragdell succeeded in his big crazy goal for the year! The ranking lists have closed and he has qualified SIX horses for the US Equestrian Young/Developing Horse Championships Lamplight Equestrian Center August 24-27. >>>

By Chance Dressage I & II: Despite a dismal weather forecast, Jessica Fay and Natalie Wolfer headed off to another horse show this weekend. The wonderful volunteers and management at By Chance Farm had a big job with all the rain, but did the best possible job coping with the conditions and thankfully by Sunday we were all drying out a bit. >>>

2017 AHS/ARS Inspection: We had a fantastic inspection this past week with an overwhelming super quality in the foals. The event started however with two stallions being accepted for AHS/ARS. >>>

Sussex Dressage Show: The heatwave isn't slowing us down! While everyone at the farm was busy with inspection prep, Michael traveled up to the Sussex Dressage Show in New Jersey. Friday was a super start with the horses. >>>

Dressage at Stone Tavern II: Jess and Michael had a great show in New Jersey this past weekend with a lot of important results. Boxster A (Bugatti-Weltbekkant), bred/owned by Iris Aberbach, won both his FEI Test of Choice classes and was High-Score FEI on Saturday. >>>

Dressage at Blue Goose: Congratulations to Jess Fay and Qindle HTF (Qredit-Royal Prince) on a strong showing at Blue Goose Dressage. >>>

Kinettic (Netto-Donarweiss): We were happy to meet up with Nancy Twenhafel and Kinettic (Netto x Donarsagan/Donarweiss), bred by Firemist Farm, at the Virginia Summer Breed Show. >>>

PVDA 14th Annual Ride for Life: The PVDA Ride for Life show is always a fun one to fit in our schedule and benefits a wonderful cause in fundraising for the Johns Hopkins Breast Center. This year, Michael took Faberge Blue and Debonair MF down to Prince Georges Equestrian Center in Upper Marlboro, MD. >>>

Dressage at Dunmovin’: We love the mid-week shows! Michael used the Dunmovin' Dressage Show this week as the first outing of the year for Kaja Brix's Feurbach (Florestan-Welcome) and his 1st time doing the Intermediare I. >>>

Cyrus (Contucci-Cor Noir) and Ribot (Reno-Cor Noir): We received a wonderful update from Carla Bahr of Ontario earlier this week. Carla owns Cyrus (Contucci x Corthena/Cor Noir) and Ribot (Reno x Corthena/Cor Noir), both bred by Hilltop Farm. >>>

Smooth Operator III (Jaguar Mail x Warrior Princess): Sarah Hankin of the United Kingdom had nothing but good things to say about her 8-year old Jaguar Mail Gelding, Smooth Operator III (Jaguar Mail x Warrior Princess). >>>

Kinettic (Netto – Donarweiss): One of the most fun pieces of breed shows is connected with the clients and horses we don’t see on a regular basis. Nancy Twenhafel’s Kinettic (Netto x Donarsagan), bred by Firemist Farm, spent a short time in our Raising Program so we enjoy still being able to be a small part of her development. >>>

Virginia Summer Breed Show: The lovely Culpepper show grounds was the site of our next Breed Show outing on June 17th. Only two youngsters from Hilltop shipped down with Quinnten Alston. >>>

VADA/NOVA Breed Show: Quinnten traveled with a number of youngsters from Hilltop for the VADA/NOVA Breed Show on June 9th. It was wonderful to see a good turnout of entries at this long-established show. >>>

It’s a Wrap on Hilltop’s 2017 Foaling Season: Well somehow the 3 months of foaling season have flown by and our final foals have arrived. On May 15th, Raja HTF delivered a beautiful, very feminine and long-legged filly by Pikko del Cerro. >>>

Drummer Boy (Don Principe – Winterzauber): Don Principe gelding Drummer Boy (Don Principe x Winterzauber) and owner/rider Madeline Bletzacker have proven to be a very competitive team! Drummer Boy and Madeline have been very successful at the Novice level. >>>

Shooting Star (Hit Parade – Hawthorne): Shooting Star (Hit Parade x Hawthorne Rose), bred by Sheila O’Keefe, is starting his show career on a high note. >>>

Showboat (Hit Parade – Bugatti): We remember Showboat (Hit Parade x Belize) as the impressive foal at the Hilltop Farm ISR/Oldenburg Inspection, earning an overall score of 8.3 and High Score Foal. >>>

Chardonnay (Comic Hilltop – Northern Baron xx): Congratulations to owners Julio Mendoza and Sheila O’Keefe on Chardonnay’s (Comic Hilltop x Kitty Colleen) Grand Prix debut! >>>

Volcan de France (Quite Easy x Irlandaise II): Elizabeth Conyers and her own Volcan de France (Quite Easy x Irlandaise II) had a very successful showing at the Split Rock Jumping Tour in Lexington, KY last month. >>>

Everdale Approved Selle Francais: Everdale has now added Selle Francais to his approvals opening up further registration options for his breeders. Everdale has previously been approved KWPN, Rheinland, Selle Francais, Bavarian, and Swedish. >>>

ESDCTA Memorial Day Weekend Shows: Team Hilltop had a super time at the ESDCTA Memorial Day Weekend Shows at the New Jersey Horse Park. It’s apparent they’ve put a lot of work into managing the footing from previous years and the volunteers are wonderful. >>>

Dressage at Lexington: While their sire/grandsire was competing at the Festival of Champions, Maryanna Haymon’s young stallions David Bowie MF (Don Principe-Rotspon) and Debonair MF (Doctor Wendell MF-Rotspon) had their first outing of the year with Michael Bragdell. >>>

Blue Goose Dressage Show #1: It was a beautiful, sunny day for the first show in the Blue Goose Dressage Series this year. Hilltop trainer Jess Fay the young mares Qindle and Quinzy had a great outing on Wednesday. >>>

CDCTA Dressage Show: This month our show season starts to ramp up, and this past weekend’s CDCTA show was a perfect outing. Michael won all 4 of his classes and all scores were over 70%. Mitch & Lara Mitchelson's Faberge Blue (Contango-Democraat) continued his winning ways with a 73% & 76% in his Fourth Level Test 3 and Fourth Level Freestyle classes. >>>

Foaling Season Continues at Hilltop: After a few weeks break, foalings continued at Hilltop Farm on April 23rd. Melissa Stubenberg’s Oldenburg mare Wraina (Obadiah-Sir Wimborne xx) produced a fantastic bay colt by Pikko del Cerro HU. A short-coupled and uphill build and a good amount a bone are a few of the highlights for this colt. >>>

Dressage at Dunmovin’: Our show season continued on April 26th with a mid-week show in West Chester, PA. Jessica Fay took our 5-year old homebred mare Quinzy HTF (Qredit-Cordoba). >>>

VADA/NOVA Spring Show: April 8th-9th saw the first of our dressage shows for the Hilltop Team up north. Morven Park is always a favorite destination for us and was a perfect outing for Sternlicht and Qredit to make a move up. >>>

Foaling Season Begins at Hilltop Farm: The last couple of weeks have brought the welcome beginning to the Foaling Season here at Hilltop Farm. With 14 mares due to foal out here, it’s going to be a busy one! >>>

Florida Season Summary for Hilltop: Two months can go by remarkably fast! Michael Bragdell took eight horses down for winter training and showing options in Florida this year and we can hardly believe their season is already done. >>>

Negro Awarded KWPN Stallion of the Year: The 22-year old stallion Negro continues to add to his impressive resume. Already a keur stallion with the KWPN, he was just named the KWPN Stallion of the Year at ‘s Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands on February 4th. >>>

Beaucoup d’Amis (Bugatti-Contucci): Breeder Trisha DeRosa recently wrote to share a few highlights of the 2016 show season for her Bugatti mare Beaucoup d'Amis (Bugatti x Carousel/Contucci). Beaucoup d’ Amis had such a spectacular year and Trisha’s thoughtful note about her mare so nice not to share. >>>

New Stallion Additions for 2017: It’s the New Year and we’ve got a couple of new additions to introduce you to! New international stallions for jumper and dressage breeders alike will be joining the Hilltop Farm Stallion Line-Up for 2017. >>>

USEF Sire Rankings: The United States Equestrian Federation compiles annual Sire Rankings based on competition results of recorded offspring. With the results finalized the end of December, we’re excited to share the achievements for the current, and a few former, stallions at Hilltop Farm. >>>

2016 Breeder Rewards: Each year Hilltop rewards breeders and owners on the success of their Hilltop-sired offspring. For results during the 2016 show season, a combination of 45 breeders and owners earned $17,000 in breeder rewards credits. >>>

Jaguar Rosette (Jaguar Mail – Riverman): It’s always great to see breeders’ offspring showing such promise for their intended discipline. Breeder, Eileen Pritchard-Bryan, shared an update on her yearling Jaguar Mail-Riverman filly at the close of the 2016 show season. “Jaguar Rosette WG (Jaguar Mail x Ravissante/Riverman) earned a 79.25% and first place in her first Yearling Future Event Horse class. >>>

Contucci’s Celebration VP (Contucci – SH Magnate): It’s always great to hear updates on Contucci’s offspring. Thank you to breeder Vanessa Parsons’ on sharing this wonderful update on her yearling filly. “Contucci’s Celebration (aka “Nina”) has been nothing less than exceptional; willingness to learn, laid back personality, beautiful conformation. >>>

Gallant Reflection HU Standing at Hilltop Farm: We are excited to share the news that Horses Unlimited's stallion Gallant Reflection HU will be standing at Hilltop Farm this year! We look forward to sharing this special stallion with breeders via frozen semen while he continues his performance career. >>>

2016 US Dressage Finals: What better end to the 2016 show season but to wrap it up with the US Dressage Finals in Lexington, KY. Now in its 4th year, this show just gets better and better thanks to an experienced staff, enthusiastic volunteers, and generous supporters. Thank you ALL who make this show happen! >>>

Prima Esperanza (Popeye x Why Not Me): Breeder Kristin DeLuca is very pleased with her flashy 3-year old Popeye filly, Prima Esperanza (Popeye x Why Not Me). Prima Esperanza has had a very good show season in-hand and is working well undersaddle. >>>

Delta (Don Principe-Ruffian): Congratulations to breeder Kristin DeLuca on Delta’s (Don Principe x Really Rosie/Ruffian) success this season! As the 2016 show season begins to wrap-up, the 2-year old filly is currently tied for Champion of Zone 1 Hunter Breeding 2-Year Olds. >>>

Pixar (Popeye – Fascination): Four year old Popeye son, Pixar (Popeye x Faschon/Fascination), has had a great show season for owner and breeder Kristin DeLuca. Pixar has shown in-hand in Young Horse Series classes and in Dresssage Sporthorse Breeding classes, earning numerous accolades in both. >>>

2016 USDF Regional Championships: This year, we made the choice to travel to Saugerties, NY for the USDF Region 8 Finals. The venue is fantastic at the HITS showgrounds and the NEDA team, as always, run a wonderful show. >>>

Dressage At Devon: All of us here at Team Hilltop enjoyed another successful year at Dressage at Devon 2016. With the help of King Santacruz, Quinnten and Michael presented a number of Hilltop-sired or client-owned horses to top placings over the course of the week. Despite the usual small bit of rainy weather, we were happy to catch up with clients, friends, and even welcome a few new faces into the Hilltop barns. >>>

Murphy’s Sporthorses ISR/Oldenburg Inspection: Breeder Irena Coz Lucas of Kastel Coz Sporthorses had lots exciting inspection results to share after attending the Murphy’s Sporthorses ISR/Oldenburg Inspection in Ramona, CA. Irena attended the inspection with 3 Hilltop-bred offspring. >>>

Stuart (Sternlicht- Nocturno): Another Premium foal for Sternlicht! Ilona English’s colt Stuart (Sternlicht x Natalia/Nocturno) earned an overall inspection score of 8.2 at his ISR/Oldenburg inspection. His overall score earned him the title of High Point Colt of the inspection. Ilona described the colt as “quite fancy and a super mover.” Congratulations Ilona! >>>

Ripken HTF (Riverman-Royal Prince): Always a farm favorite as a young horse, it’s exciting to see Ripken (Riverman x Raja/Royal Prince) thriving as a show hunter with owner Chistine Steenman and rider Amanda Steege. Ripken HTF has been adding lots of accomplishments to his show record this season, including a top 20 finish in the competitive Pre-Green Incentive Championship earlier this year. >>>

Royal Tourmalet SPF (Royal Prince – Armin): Royal Prince son Royal Tourmalet SPF (Royal Prince x Adira/Armin) has been consistently winning in-hand and undersaddle for owner Joanna Gray-Randle. This summer “Artie” added one more accolade to his long list accomplishments. >>>

Quotogenic (Qredit – Cabaret): Congratulations to Anclaire Spaulding on Quotogenic’s successful 2016 show season! Quotogenic (Qredit x Cara Mia/Cabaret), bred by Meg Sherman, has earned great results showing in-hand this year. At the Estes Park Dressage I Breed Show, Quotogenic handily won her 2-Year Old Fillies class. >>>

Elieta (Riverman – Ariadus): Riverman daughter, Elieta (Riverman x Uniqueka/Ariadus) has had a summer packed full of exciting accomplishments. The 4-year old mare completed her AHHA Mare Performance Test with flying colors. >>>

VADA/NOVA Autumn Show: The VADA/NOVA Autumn Show over at Morven Park enjoyed perfect early fall weather, with sunny skies and pleasant temps. Jess Fay took out Hilltop’s 3-year old mare Qindle HTF (Qredit-Royal Prince). >>>

Dressage at Stone Tavern: The Stone Tavern Dressage Show & Breed Show filled up the Labor Day weekend for Team Hilltop. Jessica Fay showed Beth Gildea's 4-year old Holsteiner mare Elizabeth's Elan (Quite Easy-Calimero) to wins in Training Level Test 3 & First Level Test 1. >>>

2016 Markel/USEF Young Horse Championships: Once again we made the long drive out to the beautiful Lamplight Equestrian Center in Wayne, IL for the Markel/USEF Young Horse Championships. Michael qualified two horses for the Championships this year. >>>

Lamplight Dressage: Michael’s show schedule was a little complicated with the Young Horse Championships in August, so the simplest solution meant that Qredit went along for the trailer ride and competed at the Lamplight Dressage Shows that were held concurrently. >>>

Everdeen (Everdale – Lehndorff): Congratulations to breeder Trina Yates on the inspection results of her Everdale filly! Everdeen (Everdale x Lagavulin/Lehndorff) was named a Premium Foal by the GOV. >>>

Felicitas WF (Riverman-Laurinn): Sometimes the best offspring updates we receive don’t include any show or inspection results, like this email received from Riverman breeder Emily Wyatt Baker. >>>

Sternlicht & Doctor Wendell Qualify for US Championships: The US Young Horse/Developing Horse Championships will again be held at the Lamplight Equestrian Center in Wayne, IL at the end of August. Sternlicht will be contesting the FEI Six-Year Old classes with Michael Bragdell. >>>

ISR/OldenburgNA Inspection: Our annual ISR/OldenburgNA Inspection was held August 12-13th and we saw a large, diverse group of good quality horses over the two days. Five stallions were licensed. >>>

Michael Scores Over 80% – twice!: We had a great weekend at the WPDA Summer Sizzler shows on July 30-31. Two of Michael's students reached big milestones. Beth Custalow qualified for the USDF Regional Finals at Fourth Level and Robin Birk won her very first Intermediaire I test with a 64.3%. Congratulations Beth & Robin! >>>

Rohan (Royal Prince – Eminenz): Lynn Finlon couldn’t be more pleased with Royal Prince gelding Rohan (Royal Prince x ES-Special/Eminenz)! Rohan, bred by Anne Schafer, and Lynn are off to a great start this show season. Lynn shared, “I just wanted to share with you Rohan's success to date this year. >>>

Riverman Yearlings Shine in Future Event Horse classes at Loch Moy: The Maryland Horse Trials at Loch Moy Farm, held July 8th, offered qualifying classes for Future Event Horses. We’re excited to see participation in this program grow over the past few years. It was especially rewarding to see two Riverman offspring take both first and second place in the Yearling Future Event Horse Class. >>>

AHS/ARS Inspection: We were happy to welcome back the judges from the American Hanoverian Society/American Rhineland Studbook on July 23-24. >>>

Fall 2016 Internship: Hilltop Farm Internships offer a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in a variety of fields. We are now reviewing applications for fall internships. >>>

Dressage at Lexington: Michael Bragdell traveled down to Lexington, VA for the large Dressage at Lexington show. Maryanna and Wendell Haymon’s young David Bowie MF (Don Principe-Rotspon) was the star of the weekend winning both the Young Horse TOC class and the USEF Four-Year Old Young Horse Qualifier with scores over 8.0. >>>

Dressage at Blue Goose: July 6th Jessica Fay popped over to Blue Goose Stables for a USDF-recognized show. With her own mare Veraki (Riverman) she placed 2nd in the Intermediaire I and they are now qualified for the USDF Regional Championships. >>>

Chasing Wonder (Contucci – Diwan): Congratulations to Tricia Sansevero on Chasing Wonder (Contucci x Dixie Wonder/Diwan) being named the FEI High Score at CDCTA Dressage at Morven Park in May! “Chase” and trainer Wanja Gerlach earned a score of 70.789% at Intermediaire II. We’ve enjoyed watching Chase develop each year and it is fun to see him continuing to shine. >>>

Culpepper Dressage Show: We had a great weekend on June 18-19 at the Culpepper Dressage Show. Lara & Mitch Mitchelson’s Faberge Blue (Contango-Democraat) continues to be rock solid at Third Level. He earned a 70.6% in his Freestyle and won Third Level Test 3 with a 69.4%. >>>

Hilltop Foaling Season Updates: Our last two foals are safely on the ground! Congratulations to Gavin Parfit and Isabel Barzun on the arrival of a very good-looking, light chestnut colt by Florianus II and out of Elite Romy (Gribaldi-Casanova). >>>

VADA/NOVA Breed Show: Quinnten Alston handled a number of horses for the VADA/NOVA Breed Show at Morven Park on June 10th. Iris Aberbach's Jamaica A (Ampère-Bugatti) was a superstar for her first time off farm, winning her Two-Year Old Fillies class and then going on to be named Filly Champion, Young Horse Champion, and Overall Grand Champion! >>>

Witness Wins with a 73.8%: DVCTA held their recognized Dressage show at Dunmovin’ Farm on June 5th. Michael Bragdell and Witness put in an excellent Grand Prix test to earn a 73.8%. >>>

Hilltop Foaling Season Comes to a Close: Foaling season is continuing along at a rapid pace here at Hilltop and we thought it was past time for some updates. Congratulations to Melissa Stubenberg on the arrival of Corusca, a strong, well-built filly by Calucci and out of the Thoroughbred mare Korageous Kelly. >>>

Bravo (Bugatti x Guguins Idea/Gaugin de Lully): Macie Millstein and her own Bravo (Bugatti x Guguins Idea/Gaugin de Lully) are off to a wonderful start this show season. A fairly new partnership, Bravo and Macie have been paired together a little under a year. This season they’ve been showing in the 1.00m jumpers and USHJA 3’3” Jumping Seat Medal 17 & Under Classes. >>>

Ne-Yo (Quite Easy x Mysterie Girl Van De Heffinck/Vazal Van T Woutland): We always look forward to owners sharing updates on their Hilltop-sired horses. We recently received an email from Sarah Livingston, the proud owner of Quite Easy gelding Ne-Yo (Quite Easy - Vazal Van T Woutland). Ne-Yo and Sarah have been very successful in the 3’3” Junior Hunters this season. >>>

Copernicus (Contucci x Dicey/Domingo): It’s always great to hear such positive updates on the stallion’s offspring. Ellyn Willis recently shared sent us an update on her Contucci gelding Copernicus (Contucci-Domingo), bred by John and Ann Foster. “I just wanted to check in and let you know that Copernicus is doing amazingly well. >>>

Dressage at Heavenly Waters: Jessica Fay, Hilltop’s Assistant Trainer, took two mares down to the Dressage at Heavenly Waters Show over Memorial Day weekend. >>>

ESDCTA Memorial Day Breed Shows: Quinnten Alston took two yearling colts to Allentown, NJ for the ESDCTA Breed Shows on May 28-29th . Santana Hilltop (Sternlicht-Anhaltiner) won Saturday's Yearling Colts, was Reserve Colt Champion on Saturday, and placed 2nd in Sunday’s Yearling Colts. >>>

ESDCTA Memorial Day Dressage Shows: Michael Bragdell had outstanding results at the ESDCTA Memorial Day Weekend shows held in Allentown, NJ. He was undefeated on all four of his horses! >>>

Blue Goose Dressage Show: May 18th saw a break in the rainy weather – just in time for us to travel over to Blue Goose Stables in Cochranville, PA for their dressage show. Assistant Trainer Jessica Fay started the day off well with her own Veraki (by Riverman) placing 2nd in the Prix St. Georges with a 64.2% in their first outing of the year. >>>

Hilltop Farm Foaling Updates: Our foaling season here at Hilltop is continuing along really well and we’re very excited about this year’s group of foals. It’s a fun mix of sires, so we are seeing a lot of diversity. On May 4th, Raja HTF (Royal Prince-Parabol) gave birth to a tall, long-legged black filly by Contucci. >>>

Dressage at the Meadow Sport Horse Show: We had a really super start to the 2016 Breed Show Season this week at Dressage at the Meadow in Doswell, VA. Hilltop Farm's own Stetson HTF (Sternlicht - Negro) won his Yearling Colts Class and then went on to be named Champion Colt, Champion Young Horse, and overall Reserve Grand Champion. >>>

Global Dressage Festival 3: Thursday was a washout at Global, but thankfully the rings dried quickly and on Friday morning the dressage show was able to proceed as planned. Michael showed Witness Hilltop to a win in Friday’s Open Grand Prix and a 4th place finish in Saturday’s class. >>>

The Show Season Begins: The Gold Coast Opener in Wellington, Florida was held January 21-24 and marks Michael first show of the year. Qredit was 6th in the Prix St. Georges Open and won Sunday’s Developing Horse Prix St. Georges with two soft, flowing tests. >>>

Qredit Offspring Earn USDF Awards in 2015: We’re so pleased to see Qredit’s early foal crops consistently show well at the breed shows! Two-year olds Qindle HTF and Qwin were particular highlights in this year’s USDF Awards. Hilltop Farm’s Qredit-Royal Prince filly, Qindle, finished the season ranked in 8th place with a median score above 77%. >>>

Popeye Offspring Earn USDF Awards in 2015: For breeder Angela Mirarchi the combination of Popeye and Welsch Cob mare Clanfair Mary Kay (Lonetree’s Romeo) has been very successful; resulting in one licensed stallion, premium foals, and numerous year-end awards. The 2015 season certainly further validated the success of this cross with Phenix and Peppermynt Pati earning top standings in the ISR/Oldenburg All-Breeds Awards rankings. >>>

Kastel’s Nintendo (Negro-Monaco) Tops USDF Rankings: A true highlight in the USDF Awards earned by all the Hilltop-sired offspring is Nintendo and Charlotte Jorst’s top ranking in the 2015 Adult Amateur Grand Prix standings. Their median score also earned them a 12th place ranking in the Grand Prix Open standings. In the Grand Prix Musical Freestyle Challenge, Charlotte and Nintendo finished the season with a median score over 70% and an 8th place ranking. Good boy Nintendo! >>>

USDF Region 1 Championships: It’s been a fantastic show season here at Hilltop Farm and everyone has been looking forward to the USDF Region 1 Championships in Lexington, VA. The temperatures were brisk (to say the least), but the sunny sky and fall foliage made for beautiful horse show weather. >>>

Qwin (Qredit – Wolkentanz I): Two-year old Qredit gelding, Qwin, received great results at Devon with his new owner and handler Gloria Grim. Qwin was bred by Angela Mirarchi. Despite the rainy weather, Qwin placed 4th in the Two-Year Old Colts & Geldings class on Tuesday morning. Later that day, he finished 7th in the USDF East Coast Colt Final. Royal Tourmalet SPF (Royal Prince – Armin): Congratulations to Joanna Gray-Randle on an excellent Dressage at Devon with Royal Tourmalet SPF. “Artie” finished second in the competitive 4-Year Old and Older Stallion class with a score of 80.7%. His score earned him the Robert Miller Memorial Trophy for the Highest Scoring American Born Stallion and a Born in the USA Award. Good boy Artie! >>>

Divergent (Doctor Wendell – Uncle Abbie xx): Congratulations to breeder Kelly McDaniel on her Doctor Wendell, Divergent, being named a premium foal and Top Filly of the Isabella Farm’s AHS inspection. Diamond River (Riverman – Track Dance xx): We just received a glowing update on Abigail Friedman's Riverman gelding Diamond River (Riverman-Track Dance xx). Donatella CF (Donarweiss – Tantris): We received exciting news on Donarweiss mare Donatella CF (Donarweiss x Tiadora/Tantris). Six-year old Donatella competed in her first Prix St. Georges test at Dunmovin’ Farm, under owner/breeder Kim Callaway. In a large class, the pair earned a 2nd place finish. >>>

Dax (Donarweiss – Ideal): Val Zeek’s handsome Donarweiss colt Dax (Donarweiss x Ivy/Ideal) was named Champion Colt at the Echo Glen Farm’s ISR/Oldenburg inspection. Dax impressed the judges earning an overall score of 8.1, with the highlight being a score of 8.2 for movement. >>>

Royal Tourmalet SPF (Royal Prince – Armin): Royal Tourmalet (Royal Prince x Adira/Armin) and owner Joanna Gray-Randle continue to have a great 2015 show season. Most recently, “Artie” and Joanna competed in the LIDCTA Summer III and IV Dressage shows. Artie earned no score less than 70% in Training Level Tests 2 and 3 and handily won all of his classes. >>>

VADA/NOVA Fall Show: A rainy weekend at Morven Park couldn’t keep our spirits down! One of our last ‘regular’ shows of the season, the VADA/NOVA Fall show not only served as a final qualifier, but also as a fall warm-up for horses that will be headed to Regionals. >>>

Dressage at Dunmovin’: On September 9th Michael took two horses up to Dunmovin’ Farm in West Chester, PA for a quick warm-up outing. Sternlicht produced a forward, accurate First Level Test 3 that easily scored a 71%. >>>

Dressage at Stone Tavern: Hilltop trainer Jess Fay had a great weekend in NJ at the Stone Tavern Shows. With Hilltop's Cha Ching HTF (Contucci-Cordoba), Jess won her Training Level tests with scores of 76.7 & 76.8% and was High-Score Training Level for the first show. >>>

Qredit & Witness Turn Up the Heat at the WPDA Summer Sizzler: Michael had a fantastic showing August 15-16 at the WPDA Summer Sizzler in Quentin, PA. Hilltop’s Qredit and Witness were both in top form for the weekend, winning all of their classes as well as High-Score Breed Awards from the GOV and KWPN respectively. >>>

Ribbons & Lace (Riverman-Art Deco): Congratulations to breeder Makendra Burns on Ribbons & Lace’s (Riverman x Lacey/Art Deco) excellent inspection results. Ribbons & Lace, aka Roxette, earned an overall score of 8.5 and the Site Championship at her RPSI foal inspection. >>>

GMHA Dressage Days: Michael made the long drive up to Vermont for the weekend of July 24-26 to show at GMHA in Woodstock, VT. On Friday, he competed in his first Grand Prix with Witness Hilltop and placed second with the solid score of 66%. >>>

Windy Hollow Hunt/Sussex Dressage: Michael Bragdell traveled up to Augusta, NJ for the Windy Hollow Hunt/Sussex Dressage Shows. Qredit Hilltop scored a 66.69% in his Friday warm-up and was then 2nd in Saturday's Developing Prix St. Georges with a 70.147%. >>>

GK Calucci Earns His First Star: The ISR/OldenburgNA Star Awards Program is designed to recognize exceptional achievements for mares and stallions in its breeding programs. Breeder Andrea Manley shared the exciting news that her Riverman colt Revel In Soul, out of the Anglo-Arabian mare Shadai's China Moon, was named a Foal of Distinction at his GOV inspection. >>>

Davido (Don Principe-Weltmeyer): We’re excited to see so many of the stallion’s offspring entered in the AHS Futurities. Tamara Henderson’s homebred Davido or “Vido,” by Don Principe and out of the Weltmeyer mare EM Wienne, participated in the futurity held by the Michigan Hanoverian Society on July 8th. >>>

Zloty KF (Riverman –Galoubet A): We love hearing about ‘grandchildren’ from the stallions too and take great happiness in the legacy the Riverman daughters are creating. >>>

Dressage at the Park Breed Show: There was a new breed show offered on the 4th of July weekend at the New Jersey Horse Park and we were happy to take part. While it was a smaller show, we hope it will continue to grow as we need more shows for youngsters offered in this region. >>>

July Blue Goose Dressage Show: We started off the month with the Blue Goose Dressage Show on July 1st. Jessica Fay took our homebred Cha Ching HTF (Cordoba-Weltmeyer) for another outing at Training Level and was well rewarded with a score of 74.9% and a 9 on gaits. >>>

Dunmovin’ Dressage Show: Cha Ching HTF (Contucci-Cordoba) and Jessica Fay had a very good outing to the Dunmovin’ Dressage Show June 17th. In their Training Level Test 4 debut, Cha Ching earned a 68.4% which earned 4th place. >>>

Royal Secret (Royal Prince – Donthelumbertrader xx): Congratulations to owner and breeder Paulette Zeigler on Royal Secret’s success at his first breed show. Royal Secret (Royal Prince x Secret Accomplice/Donthelumbertrader xx) finished 1st in the Yearling Colts and Geldings class. >>>

VADA/NOVA Summer Dressage Show: Just as the breed show horses were headed home, Michael arrived with two of his riding horses to continue the show weekend at Morven Park on June 5-7. Iris Aberbach's Boxster A (Bugatti-Weltbekannt) continues to show top form in his work. >>>

VADA/NOVA Breed Show: We took three young horses from Hilltop down to Morven Park this week for one of our favorite breed shows each year. The show management always does an excellent job managing this event and it's a relatively close drive for us. >>>

Dressage at Heavenly Waters: Over Memorial Day weekend, Michael Bragdell took a few of our riding horses and students to MDA’s Dressage at Heavenly Waters in Bel Air. Only about 30-minutes from the farm, it’s great to have these closer show options. >>>

ESDCTA Memorial Day Weekend Breed Show: ESDCTA added in two new Breed Shows over Memorial Day weekend and we were thrilled to take some of the youngsters up to the New Jersey Horse Park for the first breed show of the season. Quinnten Alston had a full plate each day. >>>

Cha Ching HTF Wins First Outing: On Saturday May 9th Jessica Fay, Hilltop's Assistant Trainer, took Cha Ching HTF (Contucci-Cordoba) for his first undersaddle outing at the Dunmovin' Schooling Show. >>>

Hilltop Has A 3rd Colt: On April 22nd our Hanoverian mare EM Raja HTF (Royal Prince-Parabol) did a good night’s work and gifted us with a new Sternlicht colt. This baby is all bay with a star and oh so handsome! >>>

It’s Another Colt!: On April 20th our KWPN mare Uforia (Negro-Fruhling) gave us a big, healthy Sternlicht colt and he is gorgeous! >>>

Royal Prince (1999 – 2015): It is with a broken heart that we share the news of Royal Prince’s passing this week. Late in the afternoon of January 20th Royal Prince presented an acute colic and was immediately taken to New Bolton Center. Unfortunately due to complications discovered during surgery, the only humane choice was to euthanize him. >>>

Oldenburg Approval for George Clooney & Glamourdale: We have excellent news for Oldenburg breeders in Europe and the US. The Van Olst stallions George Clooney and Glamourdale are now fully approved by the Oldenburg Verband in addition to the KWPN. This opens up further options for all breeders considering this new additions to the Hilltop Farm stallion line-up in 2015. >>>

Chippendale adds Hanoverian Verband approval: Chippendale offspring have proven exceptional this last year, including the Stallion Test winner Giovanni (ds. Scandic) as well as the young horse class winner Gigolo (ds. Rousseau). >>>

Hilltop Farm Welcomes a New Assistant Trainer: It's an official welcome! Hilltop Farm has hired a new Assistant Trainer - Jessica Fay. Originally from Maine, Jessica grew up with horses on her family’s small warmblood breeding farm. Jessica raised, started, and sold a number of young homebreds. As a teen she competed in lower level eventing and show jumping. >>>
