July 2nd Blue Goose Dressage
Just before the holiday Michael Bragdell squeezed in one more show at our favorite local show grounds – Blue Goose Dressage. It was a busy day with 4 horses and temperatures in the 90’s but it was just the outing each needed. Starting the morning with Kaja Brix’s Feuerbach, Michael earned the needed qualifying score for Regionals and was 2nd in Third 3 with a 65.5%. Iris Aberbach’s Boxster A won Fourth Level 2 with a 72% and was High-Score Fourth Level. With another Bugatti offspring, this time Balissa HTF (Bugatti-Contucci), Michael won Third Level 2 and was High-Score Third Level with a 70.7%. And finally, Lara & Mitch Mitchelson’s Faberge Blue continued his streak of scores in the 70’s with a 72.6% in Training Level 3.
Carola Koppelmann and Comic Hilltop FRH won the 2006 Nurnberger Burgpokal at CDI-W Frankfurt last weekend with a winning score of 74.10% in the final round. The Nurnberg Burgpokal is the German National Championships for horses in the small tour (Prix St. George) and is only open to 7 – 9 year-old horses.
Jane MacElree and Hilltop Farm are excited to announce their purchase of the recently licensed, three-year old Hanoverian stallion Sternlicht GGF (Soliman de Hus-Rascalino). The charismatic black stallion was bred by Rachel Ehrlich of Massachusetts and is the second stallion from her well-established breeding program to be approved by the American Hanoverian Society.
