Michael’s show schedule was a little complicated with the Young Horse Championships in August, so the simplest solution meant that Qredit went along for the trailer ride and competed at the Lamplight Dressage Shows that were held concurrently. In his first Intermediaire I test, they had a fluid, clean test that easily earned a 71%. Their second ride had a few uncharacteristic bobbles but all minor and easy to clean-up in the next round. The judge still awarded Qredit a 65% in that test – good for 2nd place. The show was a good warm-up for Qredit’s next outing – the USDF Region 8 Championships in September.
It was an absolute perfect finish to our Florida show season when Chris and Witness were invited to be on Team USA for the first ever CDIO3* Nations Cup competition in Wellington, Florida. Chris and Witness started the weekend out strong with a 2nd place finish in Friday’s Prix St. Georges, but they really shone in the Freestyle under the lights on Saturday night.

Kristi Nunnink's default expression is a smile. It doesn't matter how hard she's working, what level she's riding or how the horse under her is performing -- her mouth curls faintly upward, unforced. It may just be a coincidence of facial structure, or it may be a product of years of habit. But either way, the expression fits her, because Nunnink may very well be the happiest rider at Rolex Kentucky. At 48, she's heading to her first CCI**** with her horse of a lifetime.
In the second day of competition at the 2008 Markel/United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) National Young Horse Dressage Championships presented by Collecting Gaits Farm, claiming the title in the four-year-old division was Michael Bragdell and Selten HW besting 19 other horses to win with a score of 8.56.
