Negro Awarded KWPN Stallion of the Year
The 22-year old stallion Negro continues to add to his impressive resume. Already a keur stallion with the KWPN, he was just named the KWPN Stallion of the Year at ‘s Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands on February 4th. A gala presentation with several Negro offspring was held, with the highlight of course being the presentation of the Olympic and World Champion Valegro. Negro was bred by Mr. Borgers and is owned by Van Olst Horses.
Each year the United States Dressage Federation honors one breeder as the USDF Dressage Breeder of the Year and we are very excited to share that Hilltop Farm was the recipient for this award in 2013.
Hilltop Farm is thrilled that three of our stallions have been named USEF Leading Sires of the Year for 2009. Contucci (Caprimond-Lungau)is the Dressage Sire of the Year; Riverman (Redfort-Landego) is the Eventing Sire of the Year; and for the second year in a row, Royal Prince (Rohdiamant-Prince Thatch xx) is the Dressage Breeding Sire of the Year (and Bugatti was ranked second in this category).

For many Warmblood enthusiasts, just the mention of the famous stallion Riverman is enough to send chills down their spines. The stunning grey Holsteiner, who currently stands at stud at Hilltop Farm in Colora, Maryland, was the Reserve Champion at his stallion licensing, and was a Verband stallion in Germany for the first part of his life.
