Negro Awarded KWPN Stallion of the Year: The 22-year old stallion Negro continues to add to his impressive resume. Already a keur stallion with the KWPN, he was just named the KWPN Stallion of the Year at ‘s Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands on February 4th. >>>

USEF Sire Rankings: The United States Equestrian Federation compiles annual Sire Rankings based on competition results of recorded offspring. With the results finalized the end of December, we’re excited to share the achievements for the current, and a few former, stallions at Hilltop Farm. >>>

2016 WBFSH Sire Rankings: The 2016 World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses annually produces rankings for Top Sires in Show Jumping, Dressage, and Eventing. We are thrilled to share the results of some of the special stallions in our current line-up. >>>

USEF Leading Sire Rankings: A quick guide to pedigree, competition results, owners, breeders, and riders, the USEF Leading Sire Rankings continues to be a good resource for information on horses competing in the United States. >>>

Kastel’s Nintendo (Negro-Monaco) Tops USDF Rankings: A true highlight in the USDF Awards earned by all the Hilltop-sired offspring is Nintendo and Charlotte Jorst’s top ranking in the 2015 Adult Amateur Grand Prix standings. Their median score also earned them a 12th place ranking in the Grand Prix Open standings. In the Grand Prix Musical Freestyle Challenge, Charlotte and Nintendo finished the season with a median score over 70% and an 8th place ranking. Good boy Nintendo! >>>

American Hanoverian Society Inspection: Hilltop Farm was proud to host the American Hanoverian Society Inspection on July 19-20. Judges were Meg Williams, Jürgen Rump, and George Walker. >>>

Negro Offspring Earn USDF Year-End Awards: Negro offspring Nintendo (Negro-Monaco) and Unico G (Negro-Animo) showcased the FEI dressage talent Negro offers by both earning top ten placing in USDF Rankings for Grand Prix. >>>

Natasha (Negro-Donnerhall): Karen Drown’s Negro mare Natasha was another shining example of the Negro offspring’s talent for FEI work at the USDF Region 7 Championships. >>>

Nymeria ASH (Negro-Weltbekkant): Samantha Kidd’s 2014 Negro filly, Nymeria was very successful at the Border Line Dressage Breed Show. The filly took home a 2nd place ribbon for the Current Year Fillies class with a score of 79.4. She finished 3rd in the Current Year Foal Championship. Congratulations Samantha! >>>

Ilana (Negro-Flemmingh): Congratulations to owner Peg Lansing and breeder Darla d’Agay on Ilana’s success at Dressage at Devon. Ilana earned a 7th place ribbon and score of 77.3% in the competitive KWPN 2 & Under IBC. >>>

Jamerra Lusa (Negro-Fidermark): Congratulations to Meghan Ryan and Wendy Burke-Ryan on the success of their Negro filly Jamerra Lusa at his KWPN-NA Keuring. Jamerra Lusa, bred by Jennifer Moskal, earned First Premium status. Meghan and Wendy are excited about her future as a performance horse. >>>

World Equestrian Games: The World Equestrian Games is certainly the highlight competition for this season with the very best competitors in each discipline, including reining, driving, vaulting, and the para-equestrian competitions. It’s always interesting to evaluate such a wide demographic of bloodlines. >>>

Van Olst Stallion Show: Sunday April 6th marked the Open House & Stallion Show for Van Olst Horses in Den Hout. Not to worry if you missed it though. You can catch a summary of the presentations including Lord Leatherdale, Negro, Netto, Chippendale, Fairytale, and Everdale online. >>>

Hilltop Stallions Lead USEF Sire Rankings: Another cornerstone in the Hilltop Farm line-up, Contucci (Caprimond – Lungau) also earned multiple top-25 finishes. Contucci finished the year ranked 21st in the Hunter Sire rankings, 6th in Eventing Sire rankings, 23rd in Dressage Breeding Sire rankings and last but not least 5th in Dressage Sire rankings. >>>

KWPN First Round of Stallion Selection: The first round of viewings took place this past week for the KWPN Stallion Selection. Excellent results were achieved for stallions currently in Hilltop Farm’s International Frozen Semen Program. Especially exciting was the first presentation for the oldest offspring of Chippendale – with an outstanding result of three sons being selected to proceed. >>>

2013 WBFSH Sire Rankings: Each year breeders eagerly await the release of the World Breeding Federation’s Sire Rankings and this year we see a number of the stallions within the Hilltop Farm Stallion Line-up breaking into these prestigious rankings. In the dressage standings, Negro (Ferro-Variant) reaches the Top Ten standings for the first year thanks to the international success of Valegro, Nintendo, Numberto, Netto, and Unico G. >>>
