2011 Year-End Awards
The 2011 show season proved to be a very successful season for many of the Hilltop Farm offspring. As always, it is very rewarding to see our stallion’s offspring succeeding in everything from dressage breeding to FEI level dressage; as well as hunters, jumpers, and eventing. A few highlights include: Dior CCF’s (Donarweiss x Akino/Enrico Caruso) exciting win of USDF Horse of the Year for Weanling Fillies; Calimar’s (Contucci x Vodka Gimlet/Martini) impressive sweep of three ISR/Oldenburg All Breeds Awards for Intermediaire I Open and Musical Freestyle, as well as Prix St. Georges Open; and Royal Tribute’s commanding win of the Five-Year Old Championships at the USEA East Coast Young Event Horse Championships where he wowed the judges with a score of 91.01%. We are honored to be a part of all of our breeders and owners accomplishments and competition goals of these wonderful offspring by our stallions!

Vortex (Riverman x Don’s Lucky Cookie)
Owner/Breeder: Megan Moore
Another premium foal for Riverman! Megan Moore recently wrote to inform us on her Contucci and Riverman offspring. “Today, we traveled to the Oldenburg NA inspection in KY with our two Hilltop-bred foals, one by Contucci and one by Riverman. Our 2011 Contucci colt out of Sweet Adelaide passed inspection. But the exciting news was that our 2011 Riverman filly, out of Don's Lucky Cookie (TB mare who is a sister to my first Advanced level event horse) was rated Premium at the inspection today. Even better, out of 17 horses presented, she won High Point Filly!” (Posted 10/19/11)
Resolute KF (Riverman x Goletabet/Galoubet A)
Owner/Breeder: Barbara Zylbert
"Play it again, Riverman! Your 2011 colt, Resolute KF, out of our Galoubet A mare, Goletabet, earned his Premium Foal status at his GOV inspection at Pollyrich Farm September 17th AND your 2008 filly, Acushla KF, out of our TB mare, Can Dee Corn, earned her Main Mare Premium status at her AHHA inspection at Pollyrich Farm September 23rd 2011!!!" (Posted 10/19/11)
Hit Royale (Hit Parade – Kupferberg)
Owner/breeder: Petra Buttner
Another high point foal for Hit Parade! Hit Parade colt, Hit Royale took the High Point Colt title earning an 8.3 overall at his foal inspection in Wellesley, Ontario. Hit Royale earned scores of 8.2 for conformation and type, 8.5 for movement, and 8.2 for overall impression. He earned complements from the judge on his typey head, solid joints, and very correct fundament with a very nice topline. (Posted 9/22/11)
Gracerusa CBF (Laroche – Indoctro)
Owner/breeder: Susan Taylor
“In the class of jumping foals, the filly Gracerusa CBF by Laroche out of Orusa H keur by Indoctro pref x Nimmerdor pref, bred and owned by Claybrook Farm. Gracerusa CBF is a very well developed filly with smooth connections. In the trot the filly could have stepped under the body more but the canter was ground covering, supple and had good rhythm - earning her the first premium and the champion young jumper.” (Posted 9/22/11)
River’s Girl L.N. (Riverman x Popeye’s Girl)
Owner/breeder: Catherine de Metz
“So we had a change of plans! We took Atina to the GOV inspection instead of the RPSI inspection. Atina was a good baby! When they had me turn her loose, I knew we were all in for a surprise, as Atina is SO independent; she has never once given her mummy any attention! She was the comic relief of the afternoon, as she went bombing around showing everyone what she could do. The others foals followed their mummies like they were supposed to! Atina (who is now registered as River’s Girl L.N) was awarded Premium Foal status. Atina was the highest scoring filly and the only filly at the inspection to receive premium foal status! We are very proud!” (Posted 9/22/11)
Benjamin CFC (Bugatti – Cacique)
Owner/breeder: Beth Colle
“Just wanted to send you a quick note to share some great news. I took my Bugatti/Cacique colt Benjamin FCF to his GOV inspection today. He was designated Premium Foal, Foal of Distinction, and a Stallion Prospect!!” (Posted 9/22/11)
Royal Flush (Royal Prince x Madrigal/Mahon) & Rio Royale (Riverman x Royal Flush)
Owner/Breeder: Kim Allen
“Royal flush (Rica) our Royal Price mare was premium mare yesterday at inspections with a 111 points and second highest scoring mare in country. Rio Royale (Rio), her Riverman colt, was high point and premium foal with 8.4 and got an 8.6 on movement.” (Posted 9/22/11)
Rae Sangria (Royal Prince x Ferrymore Lane/Fantastico)
Owner/Breeder: Donna Mayne
“Rae Sangria attended her first show and won her Yearling Class with a 71%. Even more impressed with her attitude and temperament throughout - was a 4 hour haul with an accident delaying us for 2 hours (tractor trailer ahead of us flipped) where we sat on the interstate for 2 hours and she just ate hay as if it was nothing. At the show she had such a great temperament, easily handled and best behaved! She is our superstar!” (Posted 9/7/11)
Riverman’s New Moon (Riverman x Bella Gabriella/Thunder Rumble)
Owner/Breeder: Lauren Seitz
“I thought I’d send you a more recent photo of our favorite little yearling, Riverman’s New Moon (aka “Luna”). She won first place, at her first show, during her first trip off the farm. How’s that for firsts? Anyhoo, she qualified for the Future Event Horse National Championships with her score of over 81%! So, we plan to take her second trip off the farm to visit Morven Park at the end of September to compete against the other yearlings at the FEH Championships there. Wish us luck!” (Posted 9/7/11)
(Royal Prince x Daniella/Davignon)
Owner/Breeder: Kimberly Callaway
“I will give you a full report later but wanted to mention that Daniella's RP filly was top filly. Everyone was oooing and ahing over her! Overall, all the comments on my foals were positive. George Walker commented that all of the foals were improvements on my mares, and that the stallions they were bred to were really good matches, so thanks for all your help with mare matching :-) . It's so nice that Prince has had top foals at so many inspections so far this year!” (Posted 9/7/11)
Ceredipity (Contucci x Red Sister)
Owner: Megan Hays; Breeder: Lucy Curley
“Henrietta (registered name: Ceredipity) is now registered Oldenburg with a Premium rating. The judge commented specifically on Henrietta's strong hindquarters and quality gates: ‘she has the engine in the back, which is important.’ She received scores of 8.0 on conformation and type, 8.3 on movement, and 8.1 on overall impression.” (Posted 9/7/11)
Bravo (Bugatti x Guguins Idea/Guguin de Lully)
Owner: Chris Misita; Breeder: Evelyn Morley
Bugatti son, Bravo, was recently the high score stallion of the Starr Vaughn Equestrian Center Stallion Licensing for the ISR/Oldenburg NA. He was also named a premium stallion. We couldn’t be prouder of Bravo’s success! (Posted 9/7/11)
Capricio (Contucci x Donelle/Don Federico)
Owner/Breeder: Heidi Lightle
“I just wanted to let you know that my Contucci colt was awarded the premium title at his GOV inspection at Rideauwood Farm in Ontario, Canada. He behaved like an old pro, I am so proud of the little guy.” (Posted 9/7/11)
Cinderella (Contucci x Bacall/Bordeaux)
Owner/Breeder: Barbara Crabbe
“I thought you'd like to know that Cinderella was the high scoring foal at the Oldenburg inspection today (8.3). I actually bought pictures and video so promise to send them when they arrive. She is stunning...and SUPER sweet, easy” (Posted 9/7/11)
Blessings TS (Bugatti x Isabeau/Ideal)
Owner/Breeder: Gretchen Rademacher
“Blessing TS was Champion Foal at the large Derby Farms inspection yesterday! She received 8.4 in all categories and Christian (ISR/Old judge) had nothing but good things to say about her- very feminine, very modern, perfect legs and feet, good topline, etc.” (Posted 9/7/11)

She was the high score Oldenburg NA/ISR for the show. Day two she was also the high score Oldenburg but placed 2nd in the 2011 Fillies. Her temperament was unbelievable. She was curious, brave and never took a wrong step. I even handled her for the Oldenburg classes and she acted like a pro! Fallston also competed on the first day and was 2nd place in the 2 year old colt/geldings class and 4th in the Oldenburg class.... he was a little tense in his walk work but showed off an amazing uphill trot. Of course, he was bigger than the 3 year olds in the championships class.” (Posted 8/5/11)
