PVDA 14th Annual Ride for Life
The PVDA Ride for Life show is always a fun one to fit in our schedule and benefits a wonderful cause in fundraising for the Johns Hopkins Breast Center. This year, Michael took Faberge Blue and Debonair MF down to Prince Georges Equestrian Center in Upper Marlboro, MD. Faberge Blue, owned by Lara & Mitch Mitchelson and bred by Lazy J Sporthorses, won his Fourth Level Freestyle with an impressive 77%. Debonair MF, owned and bred by Marydell Farm, won both his USEF Four-Year Old classes including his Qualifier with an overall 8.2. Well done!
Chris Hickey and Cabana Boy added another national title to their resume by winning the 2009 USEF National Developing Horse Dressage Championship on August 21-23. The past two years, Chris and Cabana had traveled to Kentucky to compete in and win the 5 Year Old and 6 Year Old National Young Horse Dressage Championships, making them the first pair to win all three.
The Lamplight Equestrian Center showgrounds were an exceptional stage for the USEF Young Horse National Championships this past weekend and we could not be happier with the performances of Hemmingway (Hofrat - Archipel) and Qredit Hilltop (Quaterback - Dream of Glory).
