USEF Sire Rankings: The United States Equestrian Federation compiles annual Sire Rankings based on competition results of recorded offspring. With the results finalized the end of December, we’re excited to share the achievements for the current, and a few former, stallions at Hilltop Farm. >>>

USDF Year-End Awards: Team Hilltop had an excellent show season and we’re celebrating many USDF Year-End Awards for both our own and client horses. Wonderful job Michael, Jess, & Quinnten. Congratulations to all the owners & breeders! >>>

Dressage At Devon: All of us here at Team Hilltop enjoyed another successful year at Dressage at Devon 2016. With the help of King Santacruz, Quinnten and Michael presented a number of Hilltop-sired or client-owned horses to top placings over the course of the week. Despite the usual small bit of rainy weather, we were happy to catch up with clients, friends, and even welcome a few new faces into the Hilltop barns. >>>

Royal Tourmalet SPF (Royal Prince – Armin): Royal Prince son Royal Tourmalet SPF (Royal Prince x Adira/Armin) has been consistently winning in-hand and undersaddle for owner Joanna Gray-Randle. This summer “Artie” added one more accolade to his long list accomplishments. >>>

ISR/OldenburgNA Inspection: Our annual ISR/OldenburgNA Inspection was held August 12-13th and we saw a large, diverse group of good quality horses over the two days. Five stallions were licensed. >>>

Rohan (Royal Prince – Eminenz): Lynn Finlon couldn’t be more pleased with Royal Prince gelding Rohan (Royal Prince x ES-Special/Eminenz)! Rohan, bred by Anne Schafer, and Lynn are off to a great start this show season. Lynn shared, “I just wanted to share with you Rohan's success to date this year. >>>

AHS/ARS Inspection: We were happy to welcome back the judges from the American Hanoverian Society/American Rhineland Studbook on July 23-24. >>>

Hilltop Farm Foaling Updates: Our foaling season here at Hilltop is continuing along really well and we’re very excited about this year’s group of foals. It’s a fun mix of sires, so we are seeing a lot of diversity. On May 4th, Raja HTF (Royal Prince-Parabol) gave birth to a tall, long-legged black filly by Contucci. >>>

Dressage at the Meadow Sport Horse Show: We had a really super start to the 2016 Breed Show Season this week at Dressage at the Meadow in Doswell, VA. Hilltop Farm's own Stetson HTF (Sternlicht - Negro) won his Yearling Colts Class and then went on to be named Champion Colt, Champion Young Horse, and overall Reserve Grand Champion. >>>

Rae Sangria (Royal Prince – Fantastico): We received a great email from breeder Donna Mayne on the lovely Royal Prince mare, Rae Sangria (Royal Prince x Ferrymore Lane/Fantastico). Donna shared: We are proud to acknowledge Royal Prince's daughter 5 year old Rae Sangria, owned and ridden by Kristin Stein achieving the following accomplishments to end the 2015 show season. >>>

Royal Prince Offspring Earn USDF Awards in 2015: It was another great show season for the Royal Prince offspring, with numerous offspring earning USDF and All-Breeds Awards! Hilltop Farm’s 2-Year Old filly, Relevè HTF (ds. Cordoba), had wonderful season with Quinnten Alston earning a 6th place finish in the Dressage Sport Horse Breeding 2-Year Old Fillies year-end ranking. >>>

Dressage at Devon 2015: Throughout the years, Dressage at Devon has held the distinction of being one of Team Hilltop’s favorite shows each season, and 2015 has proven no different. It is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with our amazing clientele, new and old friends alike, and serves as a true showcase of the amazing horses the US industry is currently producing. >>>

Royal Tourmalet SPF (Royal Prince – Armin): Congratulations to Joanna Gray-Randle on an excellent Dressage at Devon with Royal Tourmalet SPF. “Artie” finished second in the competitive 4-Year Old and Older Stallion class with a score of 80.7%. His score earned him the Robert Miller Memorial Trophy for the Highest Scoring American Born Stallion and a Born in the USA Award. Good boy Artie! >>>

Royal Tourmalet SPF (Royal Prince – Armin): Royal Tourmalet (Royal Prince x Adira/Armin) and owner Joanna Gray-Randle continue to have a great 2015 show season. Most recently, “Artie” and Joanna competed in the LIDCTA Summer III and IV Dressage shows. Artie earned no score less than 70% in Training Level Tests 2 and 3 and handily won all of his classes. >>>

Rae Sangria (Royal Prince – Fantastico): Royal Prince daughter, Rae Sangria (Royal Prince x Ferrymore Lane), bred by Donna Mayne, has continued to excel in her show career as a 5 year old with owner/rider Kristin Stein. The pair has successfully qualified for Regionals at Training and First Level with Scores in mid to high 70's. >>>

Rohmeo and Rohdium (Royal Prince – Lord Liberty G): A very exciting day for breeder Carol DiMaggio at the Pollyrich Farm Oldenburg inspection! Carol’s homebred three year old colt Rohmeo (Royal Prince x Lady Rubina/Lord Liberty G) was licensed for breeding with the Oldenburg Horse Breeders Society. >>>

GMHA Dressage Days: Michael made the long drive up to Vermont for the weekend of July 24-26 to show at GMHA in Woodstock, VT. On Friday, he competed in his first Grand Prix with Witness Hilltop and placed second with the solid score of 66%. >>>

Royal Tourmalet SPF (Royal Prince-Armin): It’s always great to hear show updates on the stallion’s offspring throughout the year. Joanna Gray-Randle just shared an update on her Royal Tourmalet (Royal Prince x Adira/Armin) or “Artie.” Joanna and Artie had a great weekend at LIDCTA Summer Dressage I & II. >>>

Dressage at the Park Breed Show: There was a new breed show offered on the 4th of July weekend at the New Jersey Horse Park and we were happy to take part. While it was a smaller show, we hope it will continue to grow as we need more shows for youngsters offered in this region. >>>

Royal Secret (Royal Prince – Donthelumbertrader xx): Congratulations to owner and breeder Paulette Zeigler on Royal Secret’s success at his first breed show. Royal Secret (Royal Prince x Secret Accomplice/Donthelumbertrader xx) finished 1st in the Yearling Colts and Geldings class. >>>

Virginia Summer Dressage Breed Show: Quinnten Alston took Relevè HTF (Royal Prince-Cordoba) and Cheap Trick (Contucci-Wonner) down to the Virginia Summer Dressage Breed Show on June 13th. >>>

Royal Tourmalet SPF (Royal Prince-Armin): Joanna Gray-Randle and Royal Tourmalet SPF aka “Artie” are off to a great start this show season. The pair has had multiple outings showing in the USEF Four Year Olds and at Training Level this spring. >>>

Royal Tradition (Royal Prince – Puritano): Off to a great start for the 2015 show season! Royal Tradition (Royal Prince x Paragon/Puritano) and owner Seana Adamson had a great weekend at the Golden State Dressage March Madness Show. >>>

USEF Leading Sire Rankings: Each year we look forward to the release of the finalized USEF Leading Sire Rankings. It is an excellent resource for US stallion owners, breeders, riders, and trainers alike. >>>

Royal Prince (1999 – 2015): It is with a broken heart that we share the news of Royal Prince’s passing this week. Late in the afternoon of January 20th Royal Prince presented an acute colic and was immediately taken to New Bolton Center. Unfortunately due to complications discovered during surgery, the only humane choice was to euthanize him. >>>

Royal Tourmalet SPF (Royal Prince-Armin): Congratulations to owner Joanna Gray-Randle and breeder Gina Leslie on Royal Tourmalet’s wonderful 2014 show season. Royal Tourmalet ended his successful year by earning the NEDA 2014 Champion Three Year Old title. Good boy “Artie”! >>>

2014 AHS Futurity Results: The 2014 AHS National Futurity results are posted and we’re very excited to see multiple Hilltop Farm offspring in the Top-Ten of both divisions. Yearling filly Releve HTF (Royal Prince-Cordoba), bred and owned by Hilltop Farm, took top honors in the Yearling Futurity with a score of 78.5. >>>

Royal Prince Offspring Earn USDF Year End Awards: We’re very excited to see so many Royal Prince offspring earning high placings in the USDF awards rankings and the All-Breeds Awards. It’s particularly nice to see offspring competing with professionals and amateurs alike. >>>

Hilltop-Sired Offspring at USDF Nationals: Congratulations to all the owners, riders, and breeders whose horses qualified for the USDF National Finals. In its second year at the Kentucky Horse Park the show has a true Championship feel to it and draws competitors from across the entire country. >>>

Royal Prince Offspring in USDF Regional Championships: The Royal Prince offspring proved to be very competitive in three different USDF regions. Royal Prince was represented by three offspring in total; with two of the tree offspring competed by amateur riders – a great testament to the temperament and rideablity Royal Prince consistently produces. >>>

Rae Sangria (Royal Prince-Fantastico): Congratulations to owner Kristin Stein and breeder Donna Mayne on Rae Sangria’s 6th place finish at USDF Region 2 Training Level Championships. The four-year old mare earned a 71% from both judges and earned great comments such as “super talented horse.” Great job Kristin and Sangria! >>>

USDF Year-End Awards for Hilltop Trainers & Horses: As the 2014 show season draws to a close, the USDF Year End Awards have been finalized. Both Michael Bragdell and Quinnten Alston have had a fantastic year with Hilltop and client owned horses alike. >>>

Raphael (Royal Prince x Marsh Mallow): Raphael (Royal Prince x Marsh Mallow) Congratulations to breeder Jennifer Tarr on the Raphael’s inspection results. Raphael earned a score of 82 at his RPSI inspection and was High Point Foal of the inspection. >>>

Royal Prince Offspring At Devon: The Royal Prince fillies Relevè HTF (Royal Prince-Cordoba), owned and bred by Hilltop Farm, and Rhea (Royal Prince-Obadiah), owned and bred by Melissa Stubenberg, started off their week at Devon with a great finish in the Yearling Fillies class. >>>

Dressage at Devon Breed Show: Devon is one of our favorite shows and we always look forward to catching up with other breeders, owners, and friends at this historic show. A large group of horses joined us from Hilltop’s Raising Department and Devon Prep Program making this year’s Devon especially busy for Team Hilltop. >>>

Dressage at Stone Tavern: On August 31st, Team Hilltop traveled to the Horse Park of New Jersey in Allentown to compete in the Dressage at Stone Tavern Breed Show. Beth Custalow’s lovely yearling Bugatti filly, Bugatti’s Ballerina, placed third in both her age group and her Hanoverian breed class. >>>

Royal Fanfare T (Royal Prince-Hail To The Pirates xx): 2014 has been a great show season for Royal Fanfare T (Royal Prince x A Toast To Mar/Hail To The Pirates xx) and owner/rider Claire Curtis. The pair has been showing in the .85m jumpers and recently earned a championship for their division at the KHJA Fall Classic, winning 3 out of 4 classes. >>>

Rockwood (Royal Prince – Reno): Congratulations to breeder Amber Dudley on Rockwood’s great inspection results. Rockwood earned Premium status at the Alberta GOV inspection. >>>

Ruby (Royal Prince – Donnerworth): Ruby, owned and bred by Summit Sporthorses, had her final Novice level outing at Fair Hill this past weekend. She finished in 2nd place with a dressage score of 23. She'll move up to Training level for her next event. Way to go, Ruby! >>>

ISR/Oldenburg NA Inspection at Hilltop: Hilltop Farm hosted its annual ISR/Oldenburg inspection on August 16th. The judging panel of Ekkehard Brysch, Dieter Felgendreher, and Gary Lawrence had a packed day of horses to evaluate. >>>

Rae Sangria (Royal Prince-Ferrymore Lane/Fantastico): Rae Sangria and owner Kristin Stein have successfully qualified for USDF Regionals in 2014 at Training Level as a 4 year old with scores of 74-75% and continue to score in the 70's throughout Rae Sangria's first show year! Breeder Donna Mayne is so pleased with her success! >>>

RPSI Stallion Approvals: Five new stallions are now approved RPSI! We were pleased to welcome the Rheinland Phalz-Saar International registry to Hilltop Farm on August 6th. >>>

Maplewood Breed Show I & II: Hilltop handler Quinnten Alston headed up this week for the Maplewood Breed Shows in New York. Hilltop’s Denver HTF (Donarweiss-Royal Prince) was 3rd in his class the first show, but improved on the second show to place 2nd. >>>

AHS Inspection at Hilltop Farm: July 20-21st Hilltop Farm was pleased to host the American Hanoverian Society Inspection & Futurity. Dr. Ludwig Christmann, Volker Ehlers, and Suzanne Quarles made an excellent judging panel and their evaluations of each horse proved extremely valuable to the audience and owners. >>>

Dressage at Lexington Breed Show: The Lexington Breed Show was a fun outing for Team Hilltop. Our handler, Quinnten Alston, took two youngsters from the farm down for the show. Both Relevè HTF (Royal Prince-Cordoba) and Quinzy HTF (Qredit-Cordoba) placed 2nd in their respective age divisions. Quinzy was 3rd in the Filly Championship and Relevè was 5th in the AHS IBC. >>>

Culpepper Breed Show: While the Hilltop Farm horses didn’t travel to Culpepper this year, Quinnten Alston still went down to handle for a number of clients. As usual, the show was well run and the volunteers were wonderful. >>>

Hilltop Wraps Up Our 2014 Foaling Season: May 12th and 13th brought more healthy foals here to Hilltop Farm. On Thursday night, Melissa Stubenberg’s mare Wraina (Obadiah-Sir Wimborne xx) delivered her third foal – a very flashy Royal Prince colt that is a full sibling to the Premium Filly and Devon winner that she had last year. >>>

2013 Breeders Award Program Winners: Hilltop’s Breeders Awards Program has been in effect since 1996 and we’re happy to see the program growing each year. This unique program was designed to honor our breeders annually for outstanding competitive success with their Hilltop Farm stallion offspring by offering Award Certificates towards future breedings to a Hilltop Farm stallion. >>>

Hilltop Stallions Lead USEF Sire Rankings: Another cornerstone in the Hilltop Farm line-up, Contucci (Caprimond – Lungau) also earned multiple top-25 finishes. Contucci finished the year ranked 21st in the Hunter Sire rankings, 6th in Eventing Sire rankings, 23rd in Dressage Breeding Sire rankings and last but not least 5th in Dressage Sire rankings. >>>

Denver HTF is Reserve Champion for AHS Year-End Awards: We’re still in the midst of foaling season here at Hilltop Farm and have two more arrivals to announce. On the afternoon of April 23rd, the first foal for Michelle Ryan's lovely Bahia Breeze (Benetton Dream-Banditentraum) arrived. He is a handsome colt by Contucci. It's no surprise he's a tall, strongly built chestnut and we can’t wait to show him off at his inspection. >>>

Royal Prince Honored for the Fifth Consecutive Year: Royal Prince (Rohdiamant-Prince Thatch xx) offspring typically share their sire’s stamp of refined, modern type, a correct foundation, and quality movement and those attributes are well-rewarded in the breed show ring. We are excited to share the news that Royal Prince has won the USEF Dressage Breeding Sire of the Year for the FIFTH consecutive year. The USEF Leading Sire system has become a valuable way for stallion owners to track and evaluate the success of their stallion’s offspring in competitions throughout the United States. >>>

Royal Prince & Riverman Win USEF Sire of Year Awards: It’s official – the USEF Sire Rankings have been tabulated for the year and we are very proud to announce that for the 2nd year in a row Riverman is the Eventing Sire of the Year and for the 3rd year in a row Royal Prince is the Dressage Breeding Sire of the Year! >>>

Royal Prince is Dressage Breeding Sire of the Year: The United States Equestrian Federation gives awards to the top placing sires, breeders, and owners based upon their offspring show records over the past year at USEF recognized shows. For the 2008 show season, Hilltop Farm stallions once again proved their consistency as Leading Sires in the US. >>>
