From Popeye’s first foal crop, Popstar is proving already what a ‘star’ she is!  At her foal inspection she was named Premium Foal and Filly Champion with an overall score of 8.2.  As a yearling, Popstar showed at Dressage at Devon and scored a 77% and earned 8th place in the large yearling fillies class against the horses and won the ISR Sport Pony class.  Recently started undersaddle, she’s proven herself very willing and uncomplicated and is ready to head out to the shows.

Sire Popeye was licensed in Germany and earned scores of 9 for character and 9.5 for his walk at his Stallion Testing.  In 2007, Popeye was the Reserve Champion Stallion in the USDF/GAIG East Coast Stallion Final at Dressage at Devon.  He has earned multiple Championships and Year-End All-Breeds Awards including being the 2010 USDF All-Breeds (Westfalen) Champion at Third Level.  He is currently showing at Fourth Level and shows promise to move into the FEI ring shortly.

Popstar’s dam has been a consistent producer of Premium offspring that are well-suited to the smaller dressage rider.  Older ½ siblings to Popstar are now winning in dressage through Second Level and we expect she’ll quickly follow in their footsteps.

Even though she’s small, Popstar’s gaits are big-moving and will be very competitive in the dressage arena.  She’s very sensible and already is hacking out, working quietly in a group, and is ready to start showing.  Perfect for a junior or petite amateur.
