2006 Hanoverian Gelding

Crescent was bred to be a top jumper by Blue Moon Farms. His sire Couleur-Rubin is a Premium Oldenburg stallion, who earned the highest jumping scores at his Performance Test.  In 2001 he was Reserve Champion at the Bundeschampionat and has continued to move up to the International Grand Prix level.  His international career with Ludgar Beerbaum has included the German Championships and World Cup competitions, including a 12th place finish at the Finals. He has also been highly sought after sire and his offspring are showing his elasticity and scope.  Couleur-Rubin's sire, Cordalme, was also an international jumper.

Crescent's dam is Elite Hanoverian mare Cela.  She is a direct daughter of the legendary Contender and out of a Sao Paulo mare.  She was imported by Blue Moon Farms specifically to breed jumpers, and was one of the first mares accepted into the AHS Jumper Breeding Program.

Crescent exhibits a willing character, three elastic gaits, and already shows excellent scope and technique over fences in just his second time free jumping.  Jumper professionals looking for a young prospect to start will want to carefully consider this horse.
