2002 Westfalen gelding by Florestan I and out of Pepita (Palisander - Debuetant). Forester is an excellent ladies type who is showing First Level with scores regularly in the 70's.  He was the 2007 USDF Region 1 Reserve Champion at First Level.

Florestan is an outstanding producer of quality dressage horses, including the Grand Prix horses Floriano, ridden by Steffen Peters, and Florianus, ridden by Karin Rehbein, and the up and coming Forest Gump ridden by Hurbertus Schmidt.

The dam-line on this gelding goes back to the famous Westfalen stallion Paradox I.  From 1980 to 1990, Paradox I was the leading sire in Westfalia.  

Hilltop Farm purchased Forester as a three year old, but just imported him from Germany in 2007.   He is schooling Second Level, hacks out well around the farm, and is a pleasure to take to horse shows.
