2011 Hanoverian Filly

We’re very excited to offer this lovely Hanoverian filly as a top prospect for either breeding or sport.  Her sire Rousseau (Ferro–Roemer) was the Dutch National Champion as a 4-year old and the Reserve Champion at the World Breeding Championships for Young Horses as a 5-year old, earning scores of 8.8 for trot, 9 for canter, 8.6 for walk, 8.8 for suppleness, and a 9 for overall impression. Rousseau has had an exceptional breeding career thus far with three consecutive KWPN Stallion Licensing Champions, numerous Champion mares, and top foals throughout Europe and North America.

Roulina’s dam, Delicat, is herself a product of the Hilltop Farm breeding program.  She is by the Hanoverian stallion Del Piero (Donnerhall–Matcho) and out of the Premium Mare Parlez (Parabol–Consul).  Del Piero earned an overall 125 points at his 100-day test, was the 1998 Bundeschampion, Reserve Champion at the 1999 World Breeding Championships, and continued his competition career through Grand Prix.  Granddam Parlez was a successful competitor in dressage, show jumping, and eventing prior to retiring to her broodmare duties and has produced multiple Premium Mares and an Approved stallion.

Roulina’s movement already shows elasticity and good articulation with a round front leg.  She is going to have a lot of power in her movement and should be a wonderful prospect to develop up the levels in dressage, but her pedigree will also catch the eye of those looking for a future broodmare. She was named Top Filly at her AHS Inspection with the accolades that 'her trot was cadenced, off the ground, and couldn't be better'.
