Hit Parade has earned the respect of judges, trainers, and riders across the US with his impressive performances in the FEI Young Horse tests. In 2007 he qualified for his first trip to the US National Championships with owner/rider Sandy Burns-Gardner. Hit Parade finished in fourth position overall and was the highest placed five- year-old stallion. The following season, Hit Parade has gained strength and expression and started off the year with scores in the 70’s at Second and Third Level. He was ranked first in the nation going into the 2008 Young Horse National Championships with an 8.34 average. Under the trying weather conditions, Hit Parade maintained his composure and finished fourth at the finals and was still the highest placed stallion.
In 2009 Hit Parade debuted at Fourth Level with scores into the 70’s. He is schooling all of the Prix St. Georges work and already showing a talent for the more difficult FEI exercises. He gives the rider an amazing feeling of maneuverability and power and offers an exceptional work ethic.
Hit Parade is by the popular stallion Show Star whose early talent was displayed when he won the Bundeschampionat at three years old, including receiving two 10’s for rideability. He was Reserve Champion at four years old and quickly moved into the FEI ranks and finished second in the prestigious Nürnberg Burgpokal, a final for young Prix St. Georges horses. Show Star is proving himself in the breeding shed as well and has sired a number of Elite Auction offspring. Grandsire Sandro Hit has been one of the most popular dressage sires of the last decade. He won the Bundeschampionat and the FEI Young Horse World Championships as a 6-year-old and has been a prolific breeding stallion. Sandro Hit’s influence is now felt across all major registries and his offspring are highly sought after. The Show Star – Ehrentusch combination is proving popular in Europe and the mare Saranya was earning high scores in her Bundeschampionat qualifiers this summer. In the US, the Sandro Hit son Selten-HW was the USEF National Champion as both a 4 and 5 year-old.
Esprina, the dam of Hit Parade, has also produced the licensed stallion Roman Nature. Roman Nature was the federal champion of 3-year-old stallions and was vice champion at the World Championships in the Netherlands for 5-year-old horses. With Marlies van Baalen, Roman Nature matured into a very successful Grand Prix horse. The significant Rhineland sires, Ehrentusch, sire to Christine Traurig’s Olympic mount Etienne, and the former approval winner, Pasternak, are found on Hit Parade’s damline. These lines are known for big-moving, powerful horses who have the talent for international competition. Jumping ability also comes through strongly through this lines, and combined with the Sandro on the top of Hit Parade’s pedigree offers a versatile pedigree for sport horse breeders.
Hit Parade’s first foals received Premium designations at their foal inspections and earned scores of 8.2 & 8.5 for movement. His oldest daughter is just being started under saddle and is proving to have a wonderful mind and willing attitude. Her gaits already show the power in the hind leg that is evident in her sire and she will make her show debut in 2010.
Hit Parade offers an uphill frame, good bone, a powerful hindleg, and an excellent character. His first foals show a lot of their sire’s stamp.
"Hit Parade SFS has three outstanding gaits, superb ridability and the character everyone is looking for in a top quality competition horse." - Guenter Seidel
