Cooled and frozen semen contracts have a 2 year Live Foal Guarantee. Per dose frozen semen sales do not.
All stallions are EVA Negative.
Cooled Semen is available March 1 – August 31 for most stallions. See our Breeding Calendar for exceptions.
Frozen semen is available year-round.
**A tentative show schedule for stallions that are competing will be available in February 2013**

Special Discounts Available

Restrictions on types of discounts, or the maximum number of discounts, for a particular stallion may apply. Contact Hilltop to discuss all the options based on your mares and the stallion(s) of your choice. Discounts do not apply to per dose frozen semen sales with the exception of the Return Breeder discount.

Quality Mare Discounts

10% discount for Premium, Elite Mare Candidate, or Ster Mares
15% discount for Elite or Keur Mares

Exceptional Producing Mares

10% for Mares with 3 or more premium offspring; 3 or more inspection site champions; or 1 or more National Champion offspring or International level competitors.

Performance Proven Mares

10% discount for Performance proven mares that have shown in Prix St. Georges dressage, level 6 jumpers, Intermediate level eventing, or 3'6" Hunters are eligible for a performance discount.

Multiple Mare Discounts

10% discount on multiple mares booked at the same time. Mares do not need to be booked to the same stallion. Contact Hilltop to discuss special discount for four or more mares.

Return Breeders

10% discount for all breeders who have previously bred to any stallion through Hilltop Farm.

Early Booking

10% discount for contracts returned prior to December 31st, 2012.

Additional Fees - Cooled Semen

Cooled Semen distribution is handled by Select Breeders Service, Inc. The Distribution Fee must be paid in advance of each shipment by check or credit card. All cooled semen shipments are sent using the Equitainer, which we believe provides the most reliable, consistent cooling of semen.

Distribution Fee (per shipment)

$315.00 for US shipments
includes round-trip Fed-Ex shipping and collection fee
$15.00 additional for Saturday delivery
$200.00 for pick-up/return at SBS – no FedEx
US Airline Shipments: $450 weekday, $475 Sunday (does not include return by FedEx)
$75.00 for requests received after the published notification time

Container Deposit

$250.00 (Secured by credit card – not charged unless container is not returned or is damaged)
