Riverman News Elieta (Riverman – Ariadus) View All Riverman News >>> While we wait for the last snow to melt, it’s fun to catch up on what some of the stallion’s offspring have been up to over the past year.  It was great to hear from Kathleen Benedict on the accomplishments of her Riverman mare, Elieta (Riverman x Uniqueka/Ariadus), last season.  Elieta capped off a successful season eventing last year with an 8th place finish at the USEA West Coast Young Event Horse Finals for 4-Year Olds.  Her results throughout the season also earned her the title of AHHA 4-Year Old Young Event Horse Champion.  Way to go Elieta! Popeye News Pixar (Popeye – Fascination View All Popeye News >>> Four year old Popeye son, Pixar (Popeye x Faschon/Fascination), has had a great show season for owner and breeder Kristin DeLuca.  Pixar has shown in-hand in Young Horse Series classes and in Dresssage Sporthorse Breeding classes, earning numerous accolades in both.  At the High Point Hanoverians Young Horse Series Qualifier, Pixar won both the 4 & 5-Year Old In-Hand and Jump Chute classes.  Pixar’s results have qualified him for the Young Horse Series Finals in Kentucky this November.  He also earned the ISR/OldenburgNA High Score award for the show. At the USDF Breeders Championship New England Series, Pixar continued to hold his own again the horses.  He took home a 3rd place ribbon in the Stallion Series Final.  Dressage at Devon was Pixar’s most recent stop, where he earned a 3rd place finish in the ISR/Oldenburg IBC after finishing 6th in the Stallion Class.  Kristin is looking forward to seeing Pixar show in-hand at Devon next fall.  As we approach the end of the 2016 show season, Pixar is currently ranked 2nd in the ISR/Oldenburg All-Breeds Awards for 4-Year Old and Older Stallions.  Congratulations Kristin! Qredit News Qwin (Qredit-Wolkentanz I) View All Qredit News >>> Congratulations to owner/breeder Angie Mirarchi on Qwin’s success at the Border Line Dressage Breed Show and the Sullivan Farm’s AHS Futurity.  At Border Line Dressage, the yearling Qredit-Wolkentanz I colt had a 2nd place finish in the Yearling Colts & Geldings class with a 79%.  He moved on to finish Reserve in the Colts and Geldings Championship and 3rd in the Young Horse Championship.  In the AHS Yearling Futurity, Qwin received great scores of 8 for walk and trot, and nothing less than a 7 for his conformation scores. Way to go Qwin! Qredit News USDF Region 8 Championships: This year we again traveled to the USDF Region 8 Championships in Saugerties, NY. At the large HITS facility, there were over 1600 rides scheduled over the four days of competition – a massive show! Jessica Fay has had a fantastic season with her horses and Regionals ended on a high note for the 3 mares she qualified. >>> VADA/NOVA Fall Dressage Show: It was a beautiful weekend in Virginia for the VADA/NOVA Fall Show. Michael took Kaja Brix’s Feuerbach out for a warm-up before Regionals. They won both their Intermediate I tests with a 66.9% and a 69.7%. >>> 2017 USEF Young/Developing Horse Championships: The USEF Young and Developing Horse Championships remain a highlight of our show plans every year. Hilltop News Offspring Updates Return to All Hilltop News >>> We love catching up with breeders about all their offspring, including those by stallions that may not still be in our line-up.  Here are some recent updates from breeders around the US on their offspring bred through Hilltop Farm.  Jaquetta LJS (Laroche – Tomorrows Cat xx) by Laroche received First Premium in the Jumper division at recent the KWPN keuring held at Iron Spring Farm for owner/breeder Marie Emrey of Lazy J Sporthorses. Calla (Cabaret-Consul) and rider Lisa Schreiber had an excellent 2014 show season.  The pair won multiple year-end awards with the Islip Horseman’s Association (IHA), including: High Score Adult, Intro Year End Champion, and Mirror Image Memorial Award. Congratulations to breeder April Hays on the inspection results of her Hemmingway colt, How Ya Like Me Now (Hemmingway – Quiet Enjoyment xx) out of the Thoroughbred mare Raise Your Hand.  How Ya Like Me Now received Premium status and was High Score Foal of the inspection.  His trot was a highlight, earning a score of 8.2. Stallion News History in the Making Oct, 2013 Hilltop Farm Purchases Sternlicht GGF Jane MacElree and Hilltop Farm are excited to announce their purchase of the recently licensed, three-year old Hanoverian stallion Sternlicht GGF (Soliman de Hus-Rascalino). The charismatic black stallion was bred by Rachel Ehrlich of Massachusetts and is the second stallion from her well-established breeding program to be approved by the American Hanoverian Society.
