Global Dressage Festival 3
Thursday was a washout at Global, but thankfully the rings dried quickly and on Friday morning the dressage show was able to proceed as planned. Michael showed Witness Hilltop to a win in Friday’s Open Grand Prix and a 4th place finish in Saturday’s class. With less than a year together, we’re very pleased with how this partnership continues to develop. Lara & Mitch Mitchelson’s coming 6-year old Faberge Blue also had his Third Level debut. Faberge put in his trademark consistently steady test to win Friday’s Third Level Test 1 and place 4rd in Saturday’s class. We’re off to a great start for the year.
The 2008 USEF/Markel Young Horse Nationals was literally a whirlwind weekend for the Hilltop Team with trainers Michael Bragdell riding Selten HW (Sandro Hit - Hohenstein) to the Four Year-Old Grand Champion and Chris Hickey riding Cabana Boy (Contucci - Bordeaux) to successfully defend his National Champion title, this time in the Six Year Old division.
Thank you to all who joined us to celebrate 15 wonderful years at Hilltop Farm! Over 350 people attended this colorful afternoon celebration on Saturday, October 28. We so appreciate the rave reviews over our main event, the music-filled presentation of our stallion line-up and their offspring. We also appreciate everyone’s time, support, and good wishes. Friends and customers traveled as far as from Chicago, Kansas, and South Carolina to celebrate with us.
Hilltop Articles & Interviews
For many Warmblood enthusiasts, just the mention of the famous stallion Riverman is enough to send chills down their spines. The stunning grey Holsteiner, who currently stands at stud at Hilltop Farm in Colora, Maryland, was the Reserve Champion at his stallion licensing, and was a Verband stallion in Germany for the first part of his life.
