Born in June, Laertes has a pedigree that promises a special talent for the dressage ring and a personality that will capture your heart. Dam Romy (Gribaldi-Casanova) is an exceptional KWPN mare that has been awarded the Elite predicate. Her sire Gribaldi had a very successful international career under Edward Gal, including competing at the 2007 World Cup Finals. For breeding, he is best known as the sire of Totilas but has an enormously positive record for the production of dressage horses including Painted Black and Sister de Jeu. Romy’s oldest offspring are competing in dressage in Holland and her most recent colt is winning in-hand here in the US. Florianus II, by Florestan, is the sire of this handsome colt. Florianus earned high scores at his Stallion Testing, including 9’s for character, willingness, and rideability as well as a 9.5 for temperament. He competed at the 2003 Bundeschampionat and the 2004 World Championships for Young Horses and continued on to a very successful Grand Prix career. Laertes is a pleasure to work with each day and has an inquisitive, sensible attitude. He is registered with the KWPN and will be attending Dressage at Devon later this month. If you are looking for a beautiful dressage prospect to develop, take a serious look at this colt. Price: $12,500 Contact:Natalie DiBerardinis  |  410-658-9898 x104   |  Colora,...

Kevelaer went to his first USDF Breed Shows in May and won the Colts/Gelding Championship & Reserve Champion Young Horse on Day 1 and was the Colt/Gelding Champion, Reserve Young Horse Champion, & Reserve Grand Champion on Day 2. Dam Romy (Gribaldi-Casanova) is a very special KWPN mare that has been awarded the Elite predicate.  Her sire Gribaldi had a very successful international career under Edward Gal, including competing at the 2007 World Cup Finals.  For breeding, he is best known as the sire of Totilas but has an enormously positive record for the production of dressage horses including Painted Black and Sister de Jeu. Sire Wamberto (Rousseau-Voltaire) was Champion of his Licensing and Stallion Performance Testing where he earned the very high marks of 158.78 points overall and a dressage index of 168.18.  Grandsire Rousseau was the Silver Medalist at the 2003 World Championships for Young Horses and is the sire of the 2015 Pan-Am Individual Bronze Medalist Zilverstar. Kevelaer is a bright, expressive colt that seeks out people and learns quickly.  At his first show, he proved very sensible and is a pleasure to work with.  He is registered with the KWPN.  We estimate he’ll mature in the 16.1-16.2 range.  This is an excellent prospect for the serious dressage competitor.
