The official letters were released this week and we are thrilled to share that Hilltop Farm’s Sternlicht and Marydell Farm’s Doctor Wendell MF have both been invited to the USEF/Markel Young Horse National Championships August 20-24th near Chicago, IL. Sternlicht qualified in the Four-Year Old division with an average score of 8.28 with trainer Michael Bragdell. Doctor Wendell will contest the Six-Year Old division and qualified on an overall average of 8.0 with rides by Chris Hickey and Jim Koford. If you are in the area, please come and join us in cheering on these talented US-bred stallions.
With great sadness, we must announce that our beautiful Holsteiner stallion Cor Noir was put down November 3, 2003 for humane reasons. Cor Noir gave tremendous quality to our Hilltop Farm breeding program, producing our top broodmares and the foundation for so much of our success today.
Carola Koppelmann and Comic Hilltop FRH won the 2006 Nurnberger Burgpokal at CDI-W Frankfurt last weekend with a winning score of 74.10% in the final round. The Nurnberg Burgpokal is the German National Championships for horses in the small tour (Prix St. George) and is only open to 7 – 9 year-old horses.
