Lexington Lexington is a 16 hh+, coming 3-year-old filly that has already done quite a bit. This is not too surprising since, through her sire (Lord Leatherdale x Negro) and dam (E.H. Caprimond x Veneziano), she is related to several international dressage competitors and champions, including Glamourdale, Everdale, Valegro, and Hohenstein. At her first Dressage Sport Horse Prospect In-Hand class last July, she scored 9.6 out of 10 for “overall frame & topline; balance & proportions” and 9.3 for “general impression”. At her Oldenburg N.A. Registry inspection, Lexington was designated a Premium Foal, received the High Score award, and was named Foal Champion. Since then, she has received training at the Ellsworth Equine Program in showmanship, obstacle skills, patience, desensitization, longeing, trailering, and farrier manners. She has also been trained in ground driving, standing quietly during mounting and dismounting, yielding to a rider’s leg pressure, serpentines, lateral movement, picking up correct leads, moving shoulders independently, backing up straight, and turns on the forehand and haunches. In December she went to her first show, had no problem with the crowded warm-up arena, and won several ribbons. Under saddle, she shows uphill balance, suspension, elasticity, and cooperative temperament. Given her breeding, conformation, intelligence, and some opportunity, we think she may well reach advanced levels in dressage. Lexington’s sire, Louisville HTF, has been making excellent progress through the levels, competing so successfully at Intermediate II and Grand Prix in 2025, as an 8-year-old. He has won the US Dressage Finals, All-Breeds Awards, and placed 6th at the USEF Developing Grand Prix Championships, among other honors during his relatively short show career. His...
